Abstract

An electronic timepiece includes indicators, an operation receiving unit, a timing unit and a processor. The operation receiving unit receives an operation performed by a user. The timing unit counts a date and time at present. The processor carries out operation control of the indicators and obtains a local time setting based on a time difference between a predetermined standard time and a local time at a target position. The processor makes at least a part of the indicators display the local time in accordance with the operation received by the operation receiving unit and obtains the local time setting based on a difference between the displayed local time and the date and time counted by the timing unit.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. An electronic timepiece, comprising:
 a plurality of indicators; 
 an operation receiving unit which receives an operation performed by a user; 
 a timing unit which counts a date and time at present; and 
 a processor which carries out operation control of the plurality of indicators and which obtains a local time setting based on a time difference between a predetermined standard time and a local time at a target position, the local time being a regional time at a place in a world, 
 wherein the processor makes at least a part of the plurality of indicators display the local time in accordance with the operation received by the operation receiving unit and obtains the local time setting based on a difference between the displayed local time and the date and time counted by the timing unit. 
 
     
     
       2. The electronic timepiece of  claim 1 , wherein the processor determines a time zone according to setting relating to set or not-set of summer time in obtaining the local time setting. 
     
     
       3. The electronic timepiece of  claim 2 , wherein the processor switches the setting relating to set or not-set of summer time according to the operation received by the operation receiving unit. 
     
     
       4. The electronic timepiece of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a map image; and 
 a map indicating unit which indicates one of time zones in the map image, 
 wherein the processor moves the map image and the map indicating unit relative to each other so that the map indicating unit indicates a position on the map image which indicates a time zone corresponding to the local time setting. 
 
     
     
       5. The electronic timepiece of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a map image; and 
 a map indicating unit which indicates one of time zones in the map image, 
 wherein the processor moves the map image and the map indicating unit relative to each other so that the map indicating unit indicates a position on the map image which indicates a time zone corresponding to the local time setting. 
 
     
     
       6. The electronic timepiece of  claim 3 , further comprising:
 a map image; and 
 a map indicating unit which indicates one of time zones in the map image, 
 wherein the processor moves the map image and the map indicating unit relative to each other so that the map indicating unit indicates a position on the map image which indicates a time zone corresponding to the obtained local time setting. 
 
     
     
       7. The electronic timepiece of  claim 4 , wherein the processor determines the time zone according to setting relating to set or not-set of summertime in obtaining the local time setting and makes the map indicating unit indicate a position on the map image which corresponds to the determined time zone. 
     
     
       8. The electronic timepiece of  claim 5 , wherein the processor determines the time zone according to setting relating to set or not-set of summer time in obtaining the local time setting and makes the map indicating unit indicate a position on the map image which corresponds to the determined time zone. 
     
     
       9. The electronic timepiece of  claim 6 , wherein the processor determines the time zone according to setting relating to set or not-set of summer time in obtaining the local time setting and makes the map indicating unit indicate a position on the map image which corresponds to the determined time zone. 
     
     
       10. The electronic timepiece of  claim 4 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       11. The electronic timepiece of  claim 5 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       12. The electronic timepiece of  claim 6 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       13. The electronic timepiece of  claim 7 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       14. The electronic timepiece of  claim 8 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       15. The electronic timepiece of  claim 9 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is one of the plurality of indicators, and 
 while the map indicating unit indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that a position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the predetermined rotation angle direction. 
 
     
     
       16. The electronic timepiece of  claim 10 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is a fixed index which indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, 
 one of the plurality of indicators is a setting indicator which is provided so as to indicate a position associated with the map indicating unit, and 
 while the setting indicator points to the position associated with the map indicating unit, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that the position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the rotation angle direction indicated by the map indicating unit. 
 
     
     
       17. The electronic timepiece of  claim 7 , wherein
 the map image is formed on a rotational disk which rotates, 
 the map indicating unit is a fixed index which indicates a predetermined rotation angle direction of the rotational disk, 
 one of the plurality of indicators is a setting indicator which is provided so as to indicate a position associated with the map indicating unit, and 
 while the setting indicator points to the position associated with the map indicating unit, the processor rotates the rotational disk so that the position on the map image which indicates the time zone of the obtained local time setting matches to the rotation angle direction indicated by the map indicating unit. 
 
     
     
       18. The electronic timepiece of  claim 16 , wherein the map indicating unit and the position associated with the map indicating unit are set separately according to the setting relating to set or not-set of summer time. 
     
     
       19. The electronic timepiece of  claim 16 , wherein
 the processor sets a plurality of areas as target positions to obtain local times, and 
 the map indicating unit and the position associated with the map indicating unit are set separately for each of the plurality of areas. 
 
     
     
       20. The electronic timepiece of  claim 18 , wherein
 the processor sets a plurality of areas as target positions to obtain local times, and 
 the map indicating unit and the position associated with the map indicating unit are set separately for each of the plurality of areas.
