Devices and methods to disintegrate foods
Abstract
A device to disintegrate comestible articles, comprising: a containment vessel with a floor and generally tubular sidewalls projecting upwardly from the floor, the sidewalls having a central longitudinal axis, a power rotated agitator disposed within the containment vessel above and proximate to the floor, having a rotational axis, and operable to both agitate and disintegrate comestible articles placed within the containment vessel, a power source, configured to rotate the agitator, a support housing which encloses the power source which is structured to removably mount the containment vessel. The containment vessel is canted relative to the motor shaft. Output of the containment vessel is filtered. A resiliently closed opening into the containment is formed in the vessel lid. A food handling mechanism introduces comestible articles into the containment vessel. A support mechanism mounts vessels below a device outlet.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1. A device to disintegrate comestible articles, comprising:
a containment vessel with a floor and generally tubular sidewalls projecting upwardly from the floor;
a power rotatable agitator disposed within the containment vessel above and proximate to the floor, the agitator operable to both agitate and disintegrate comestible articles placed within the containment vessel;
a power source configured to rotate the agitator;
a support housing which encloses the power source and which is structured to removably mount the containment vessel;
a vertical depression formed in the generally tubular sidewalls, wherein the depression is configured to receive a first filtering cover which caps an inward opening portion of the depression, forming an intermediate chamber, and the intermediate chamber having an outlet in communication with the exterior of the containment vessel wherein the outlet comprises a pour spout disposed proximate to the top of the intermediate chamber.
2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the outlet comprises a valve disposed proximate to the bottom of the intermediate chamber.
3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the power rotatable agitator has an oblique plane of rotation.
4. The device of claim 1 , wherein there is a second filtering cover, configured to be interchangeable with the first filtering cover, and the second filtering cover configured to allow transmission through it of materials which are different from the first filtering cover.
5. A device to disintegrate comestible articles, comprising:
a containment vessel with a floor and generally tubular sidewalls projecting upwardly from the floor;
a power rotatable agitator disposed within the containment vessel above and proximate to the floor, the agitator operable to both agitate and disintegrate comestible articles placed within the containment vessel;
a power source configured to rotate the agitator;
a support housing which encloses the power source and which is structured to removably mount the containment vessel;
a vertical depression formed in the generally tubular sidewalls forming an intermediate chamber, the depression having a valve outlet coupled proximate to a lower portion thereof, wherein the depression is configured to receive a first filtering cover which caps an inward opening portion of the depression, wherein the filtering cover separates an interior of the depression from an interior of the containment vessel, wherein the depression is configured to receive a second filtering cover comprising a different filtering porosity than a filtering porosity of the first filtering cover and which is interchangeable with the first filtering cover, and wherein the outlet comprises a pour spout disposed proximate to the top of the intermediate chamber.
6. A device to disintegrate comestible articles, comprising:
a containment vessel including a floor and a generally tubular sidewall projecting upwardly from the floor;
a power rotatable agitator disposed within the containment vessel above and proximate to the floor, and the agitator operable to both agitate and disintegrate comestible articles placed within the containment vessel;
a power source configured to rotate the agitator;
a support housing which encloses the power source and which is configured to removably mount the containment vessel;
a depression formed outwardly and longitudinally in the generally tubular sidewall, the depression including a pour spout coupled to an upper portion thereof and a removable first filtering cover which caps an inward opening portion of the depression, the filtering cover separating an interior of the depression from an interior of the containment vessel;
the depression further configured to receive a removable second filtering cover which having a different filtering porosity than that of the first filtering cover, wherein the second filter cover is configured to be interchangeable with the first filtering cover.Cited by (0)
