Abstract

Provided is a rubber composition that achieves a balanced improvement in fuel economy, abrasion resistance, and wet grip performance while having good processability. Also provided is a pneumatic tire including a tread formed from the rubber composition. The present invention relates to a rubber composition containing: a rubber component including a copolymer; and carbon black and/or silica, the copolymer containing a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene monomer and a structural unit derived from a compound represented by the following formula (1): wherein R 11 represents a C1-C30 hydrocarbon group.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
The invention claimed is:

       1. A pneumatic tire, comprising a tread formed from a rubber composition, the rubber composition comprising:
a rubber component comprising a copolymer; and
at least one of carbon black or silica,
the copolymer containing a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene monomer and a structural unit derived from a compound represented by the following formula (1):

       wherein R 11 represents a C3-C30 hydrocarbon group.

       2. The pneumatic tire according to claim 1 ,
wherein the copolymer contains, based on 100% by mass of structural units of the copolymer, 5% to 95% by mass of the structural unit derived from a conjugated diene monomer and 5% to 95% by mass of the structural unit derived from a compound of formula (1).

       3. The pneumatic tire according to claim 1 ,
wherein the copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 2,000,000 and a molecular weight distribution of 2.1 to 11.

       4. The pneumatic tire according to claim 1 ,
wherein the compound of formula (1) is vinyl cinnamate.

       5. The pneumatic tire according to claim 1 ,
wherein the conjugated diene monomer is 1,3-butadiene.

       6. The pneumatic tire according to claim 1 ,
wherein the copolymer has at its end a functional group having an affinity for filler.
