Abstract

Antibodies and antigen binding fragments that bind specifically to TNFRSF25 are provided herein. Methods for using the antibodies and antigen binding fragments to, for example, stimulate proliferation of human T cells (e.g., CD8+ T cells) and to treat cancer patients also are provided.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

       1. An anti-tumor necrosis factor superfamily receptor 25 (TNFRSF25) antibody, comprising:
 (a) a heavy chain comprising a heavy chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 6, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 8; and
 (b) a light chain comprising a light chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 11, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 13, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 15.

       2. The antibody of claim 1 , wherein the heavy chain variable region comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1.

       3. The antibody of claim 1 , wherein the light chain variable region comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.

       4. The antibody of claim 2 , wherein the heavy constant region of said antibody is selected from human IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4.

       5. The antibody of claim 4 , wherein the heavy constant region is from human IgG4.

       6. A method of treating a tumor in a subject, comprising administering to a subject the antibody of claim 1 .

       7. A composition comprising:
 (a) an anti-tumor necrosis factor superfamily receptor 25 (TNFRSF25) antibody, comprising:
 (i) a heavy chain comprising a heavy chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 6, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 8; and
(ii) a light chain comprising a light chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 11, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 13, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 15; and

 (b) an additional agent for treating cancer.

       8. A nucleic acid encoding an anti-TNFRSF25 antibody comprising:
 (a) a first nucleic acid sequence encoding a heavy chain comprising a heavy chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 6, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 8; and
 (b) a second nucleic acid sequence encoding a light chain comprising a light chain variable region comprising a CDR1 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO:11, a CDR2 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 13, and a CDR3 sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 15.

       9. A host cell comprising the nucleic acid of claim 8 .

       10. A method of making an anti-TNFRSF25 antibody, comprising:
 a) providing the host cell of  claim 9 ;
 b) culturing said host cell under conditions wherein said antibody is expressed; and
 c) recovering said antibody from the host cell.
