Abstract
A display device includes: a display panel including a display region and a non-display region; and an input sensing layer disposed on the display panel, the input sensing layer including: a first sensing electrode including a first sub-electrode and a second sub-electrode at least partially overlapping in a plan view; and a first sensing wire electrically connected to the first sensing electrode, wherein the first sub-electrode has a mesh shape, and the second sub-electrode is a transparent electrode.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A display device, comprising:
a display panel including a display region and a non-display region; and
an input sensing layer disposed on the display panel, the input sensing layer comprising:
a first sensing electrode including a first sub-electrode and a second sub-electrode at least partially overlapping in a plan view; and
a first sensing wire electrically connected to the first sensing electrode,
wherein the first sub-electrode has a mesh shape, and the second sub-electrode is a transparent electrode.
2. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first sensing wire has a mesh shape.
3. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first sensing electrode and at least a portion of the first sensing wire overlap with the display region in the plan view.
4. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first sub-electrode and the first sensing wire are disposed on a same layer and are connected to each other to have an integral shape.
5. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the second sub-electrode is disposed on the first sub-electrode.
6. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the display panel comprises a substrate, a circuit layer disposed on the substrate, a device layer disposed on the circuit layer, and an insulation layer disposed on the device layer, and
wherein the first sub-electrode and the first sensing wire are directly disposed on the insulation layer.
7. The display device of claim 1 , wherein an area of the first sub-electrode is greater than an area of the second sub-electrode in the plan view.
8. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the input sensing layer further comprises a second sensing electrode including:
a third sub-electrode and a fourth sub-electrode at least partially overlapping in the plan view, and
a second sensing wire electrically connected to the second sensing electrode.
9. The display device of claim 8 , an area of the third sub-electrode is smaller than an area of the fourth sub-electrode in the plan view.
10. The display device of claim 8 , wherein the fourth sub-electrode overlaps with at least a portion of the first sensing wire in the plan view.
11. The display device of claim 8 , wherein the second sensing electrode is spaced apart from the first sensing electrode in a first direction,
a width of the first sub-electrode in a second direction is greater than a width of the third sub-electrode in the second direction, the second direction intersecting with the first direction, and
a width of the second sub-electrode in the second direction is smaller than a width of the fourth sub-electrode in the second direction.
12. The display device of claim 11 , wherein a length of the first sensing wire in the first direction is longer than a length of the second sensing wire in the first direction.
13. The display device of claim 8 , wherein at least a portion of the second sensing wire overlaps with the display region.
14. The display device of claim 8 , wherein an area of the first sub-electrode is greater than an area of the third sub-electrode in the plan view, and
wherein an area of the second sub-electrode is smaller than an area of the fourth sub-electrode in the plan view.Cited by (0)
