Abstract

Methods and systems including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for obtaining imaging data of a parking lot that includes a set of parking spots, detecting a vehicle enter the parking lot, generating a vehicle recognition model for the vehicle, determining that the vehicle is parked in a parking spot, detecting a customer exit the vehicle, generating a customer recognition model for the customer, determining that the customer has entered a business of one or more businesses affiliated with the parking lot, and providing information related to parking space usage for the parking spot and the business to a user device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

       1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
 obtaining imaging data of a parking lot that includes a set of parking spots, the parking lot affiliated with a set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a vehicle has parked in a parking spot of the set of parking spots at a first time;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that the vehicle has left the parking spot at a second time; and
 triggering parking validation that indicates that the parking spot was used on behalf of the business based on the first time, the second time, and that the driver of the vehicle was determined to have entered the business.

       2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, receiving through an application environment on a user device, a designation of the parking spot as a designated parking spot corresponding to the business.

       3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the parking validation comprises a cost to park per time.

       4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving a third time corresponding to a purchase made by the driver at the business;
 determining that the third time occurred during an overlapping time between the first time and the second time; and
 providing, to the business, an indication that the third time occurred during the overlapping time.

       5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining that the driver entered multiple businesses, wherein determining that the driver entered multiple business comprises determining relative durations of visits to the multiple business by the driver.

       6. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining, from the imaging data, that the driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses comprises:
 tracking a driver path from the vehicle to a door of the business utilizing imaging data and a customer recognition model for the driver.

       7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
 providing a parking validation summary including utilization for designated parking spots for the business.

       8. The method of claim 1 , wherein triggering parking validation comprises automatically billing the business for the parking spot.

       9. A system, comprising:
 a data processing apparatus; and
 a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions executable by the data processing apparatus and thus upon such execution cause the data processing apparatus to perform operations comprising:
 obtaining imaging data of a parking lot that includes a set of parking spots, the parking lot affiliated with a set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a vehicle has parked in a parking spot of the set of parking spots at a first time;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that the vehicle has left the parking spot at a second time; and
 triggering parking validation that indicates that the parking spot was used on behalf of the business based on the first time, the second time, and that the driver of the vehicle was determined to have entered the business.

       10. The system of claim 9 , further comprising, receiving through an application environment on a user device, a designation of the parking spot as a designated parking spot corresponding to the business.

       11. The system of claim 9 , wherein the parking validation comprises a cost to park per time.

       12. The system of claim 9 , further comprising:
 receiving a third time corresponding to a purchase made by the driver at the business;
 determining that the third time occurred during an overlapping time between the first time and the second time; and
 providing, to the business, an indication that the third time occurred during the overlapping time.

       13. The system of claim 9 , further comprising determining that the driver entered multiple businesses, wherein determining that the driver entered multiple business comprises determining relative durations of visits to the multiple business by the driver.

       14. The system of claim 9 , wherein determining, from the imaging data, that the driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses comprises:
 tracking a driver path from the vehicle to a door of the business utilizing imaging data and a customer recognition model for the driver.

       15. The system of claim 9 , further comprising:
 providing a parking validation summary including utilization for designated parking spots for the business.

       16. The system of claim 9 , wherein triggering parking validation comprises automatically billing the business for the parking spot.

       17. At least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by at least one processor, cause performance of operations comprising:
 obtaining imaging data of a parking lot that includes a set of parking spots, the parking lot affiliated with a set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a vehicle has parked in a parking spot of the set of parking spots at a first time;
 determining, from the imaging data, that a driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses;
 determining, from the imaging data, that the vehicle has left the parking spot at a second time; and
 triggering parking validation that indicates that the parking spot was used on behalf of the business based on the first time, the second time, and that the driver of the vehicle was determined to have entered the business.

       18. The storage medium of claim 17 , further comprising, receiving through an application environment on a user device, a designation of the parking spot as a designated parking spot corresponding to the business.

       19. The storage medium of claim 17 , wherein determining, from the imaging data, that the driver of the vehicle entered a business of the set of businesses comprises:
 tracking a driver path from the vehicle to a door of the business utilizing imaging data and a customer recognition model for the driver.

       20. The storage medium of claim 17 , further comprising:
 providing a parking validation summary including utilization for designated parking spots for the business.
