Abstract
One or more Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) beacons in communication with a remote server that provides check in capabilities and payment capabilities may be installed at a location. The BLE beacons may connect with a user's mobile device when the user enters the location and allow the user to check in to the location and authorize payments to be made at the location. Once the user is checked in to the location, the user may be provided with additional functionality, benefits, offers, and applications related to the location and facilitated by the check in. Further, the user may be pre-checked in into a next location when the user is at a current location.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A system comprising:
a non-transitory memory; and
one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
detecting, via communication with a beacon device located at a first location, that a user device of a user is at the first location;
in response to the detecting that the user device of the user is at the first location, accessing a database to identify a check-in history of the user;
determining a second location based on analyzing the check-in history of the user;
in response to determining the second location, causing a user interface of the user device of the user to be updated to display a digital offer for the second location; and
in response to detecting an input, provided via the user interface of the user device of the user, corresponding to the digital offer, automatically processing a pre-check-in of the user device at the second location before a detection of the user device at the second location.
2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been viewed by the user.
3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been accessed or saved by the user.
4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the determining the second location is further based on analyzing a sequence of check-ins made by the user, wherein the sequence includes the first location and the second location.
5. The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising in response to detecting that the user has entered the second location, automatically causing the digital offer to be redeemed.
6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the automatically processing the pre-check-in of the user device at the second location includes transmitting an identifier to the user device.
7. The system of claim 6 , the operations further comprising:
in response to detecting that the identifier has been received by a device corresponding to the second location, processing a check-in of the user at the second location without authenticating the user.
8. A method comprising:
detecting, via communication with a beacon device located at a first location, that a user device of a user is at the first location;
in response to the detecting that the user device of the user is at the first location, accessing a database to identify a check-in history of the user;
determining a second location based on analyzing the check-in history of the user;
causing a user interface of the user device of the user to be updated to display a digital offer for the second location; and
in response to detecting an input, provided via the user interface of the user device of the user, corresponding to the digital offer, automatically processing a pre-check-in of the user device at the second location before the user arrives at the second location.
9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been viewed by the user.
10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been accessed or saved by the user.
11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the determining the second location is further based on analyzing a sequence of check-ins made by the user, wherein the sequence includes the first location and the second location.
12. The method of claim 8 , further comprising in response to detecting that the user has entered the second location, automatically causing the digital offer to be redeemed.
13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the automatically processing the pre-check-in of the user device at the second location includes transmitting an identifier to the user device.
14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
in response to detecting that the identifier has been received by a device corresponding to the second location, processing a check-in of the user at the second location without authenticating the user.
15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions which when executed by one or more processors are adapted to cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
detecting, via communication with a beacon device located at a first location, that a user device of a user is at the first location;
accessing a database to identify a check-in history of the user;
determining a second location based on analyzing the check-in history of the user;
causing a user interface of the user device of the user to be updated to display a digital offer for the second location; and
in response to detecting an input, provided via the user interface of the user device of the user, corresponding to the digital offer, automatically processing a pre-check-in of the user device at the second location before the user arrives at the second location.
16. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been viewed by the user.
17. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the detecting the input corresponding to the digital offer includes detecting that the digital offer has been accessed or saved by the user.
18. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the determining the second location is further based on analyzing a sequence of check-ins made by the user, wherein the sequence includes the first location and the second location.
19. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , the operations further comprising in response to detecting that the user has entered the second location, automatically causing the digital offer to be redeemed.
20. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the automatically processing the pre-check-in of the user device at the second location includes transmitting an identifier to the user device, and wherein the operations further comprise:
in response to detecting that the identifier has been received by a device corresponding to the second location, processing a check-in of the user at the second location without authenticating the user.Cited by (0)
