Abstract
This disclosure describes methods, apparatuses, and systems related to signaling for concurrent operation and/or cancellation capabilities for termination of concurrent operations on networks (e.g., NAN, WLAN networks). In some implementations, systems and methods are provided for handling of time blocks that partially overlaps with the concurrent operations.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A device, the device comprising processing circuitry coupled to storage, the processing circuitry configured to:
determine an availability information associated with transmitting neighbor awareness networking (NAN) data to one or more NAN devices in a NAN cluster, wherein the availability information is associated with a plurality of NAN time blocks on one or more channels;
determine an overlap of a portion of the plurality of NAN time blocks and a plurality of non-NAN time blocks on the one or more channels, wherein the overlap indicates to other NAN devices in the NAN cluster one or more time blocks and one or more channels during which the device will not be available for transmissions;
generate a frame comprising the availability information, wherein the availability information indicates to the one or more NAN devices to avoid transmitting to the device during the plurality of NAN time blocks on the one or more channels; and
cause to send the frame to the one or more NAN devices in the NAN cluster.
2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is configured to transmit and receive data over a plurality of network types comprising a NAN network or a non-NAN network.
3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the availability information comprises a countdown field indicating a number of the one or more time blocks.
4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to cause to send the frame using a first data link between the device and a first NAN device on a NAN network.
5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the availability information comprises one or more of a duration field, a start time field, and a repeating interval.
6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the availability information comprises a channel indication or a channel availability.
7. The device of claim 1 , wherein, wherein the frame comprises a unicast frame, a multicast frame, or a broadcast frame.
8. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions which when executed by one or more processors result in performing operations comprising:
determining an availability information associated with transmitting neighbor awareness networking (NAN) data to one or more NAN devices in a NAN cluster, wherein the availability information is associated with a plurality of NAN time blocks on one or more channels;
determining an overlap of a portion of the plurality of NAN time blocks and a plurality of non-NAN time blocks on the one or more channels, wherein the overlap indicates to other NAN devices in the NAN cluster one or more time blocks and one or more channels during which the device will not be available for transmissions;
generating a frame comprising the availability information, wherein the availability information indicates to the one or more NAN devices to avoid transmitting to the device during the plurality of NAN time blocks on the one or more channels; and
causing to send the frame to the one or more NAN devices in the NAN cluster.
9. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the device is configured to transmit and receive data over a plurality of network types comprising a NAN network or a non-NAN network.
10. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the availability information comprises a countdown field indicating a number of the one or more time blocks.
11. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise causing to send the frame using a first data link between the device and a first NAN device on a NAN network.
12. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the availability information comprises one or more of a duration field, a start time field, and a repeating interval.
13. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the availability information comprises a channel indication or a channel availability.
14. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein, wherein the frame comprises a unicast frame, a multicast frame, or a broadcast frame.
15. A method comprising:
determining, by one or more processors, an availability information associated with transmitting neighbor awareness networking (NAN) data to one or more NAN devices in a NAN cluster, wherein the availability information is associated with a plurality of NAN time blocks on one or more channels;
determining an overlap of a portion of the plurality of NAN time blocks and a plurality of non-NAN time blocks on the one or more channels, wherein the overlap indicates to other NAN devices in the NAN cluster one or more time blocks and one or more channels during which the device will not be available for transmissions;
generating a frame comprising the availability information, wherein the availability information indicates to the one or more NAN devices to avoid transmitting to the device during the plurality of NAN time blocks on the one or more channels; and
causing to send the frame to the one or more NAN devices in the NAN cluster.
16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the device is configured to transmit and receive data over a plurality of network types comprising a NAN network or a non-NAN network.
17. The method of claim 15 , wherein the availability information comprises a countdown field indicating a number of the one or more time blocks.
18. The method of claim 15 , further comprising causing to send the frame using a first data link between the device and a first NAN device on a NAN network.
19. The method of claim 15 , wherein the availability information comprises one or more of a duration field, a start time field, and a repeating interval.
20. The method of claim 15 , wherein the availability information comprises a channel indication or a channel availability.Cited by (0)
