Method for producing a polymorphic form of 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide

Abstract

This invention relates to a process for the preparation of Form A of 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide. Also disclosed herein is Form A of 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide, or pharmaceutical compositions thereof, obtainable by the process described herein.

The invention claimed is: 
     
       1. Form A 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide wherein Form A exhibits an X-ray powder diffraction pattern substantially as shown in  FIG. 1 . 
     
     
       2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising Form A 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide of  claim 1 . 
     
     
       3. Form A 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide, wherein Form A has an X-ray powder diffraction pattern measured using Cu Kα radiation with peaks at 2θ=about 9.3, 9.7, 10.2, 10.5, 11.7, 13.0, 14.5, 15.0, 15.5, 16.0, 16.4, 16.0, 17.8, 18.0, 20.0, 20.5, 20.9, 22.0, 22.3, 23.4, 24.2 and 24.5. 
     
     
       4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising Form A 3-[5-amino-4-(3-cyanobenzoyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-N-cyclopropyl-4-methylbenzamide of  claim 3 . 
     
     
       5.
