Abstract
A system for providing remote monitoring of assets is disclosed. The system provides secure communication with one or more assets and receive operational data from the one or more assets. The system generates a graphical user interface that be used for selection of inputs from the one or more assets and specification of conditions to be applied to inputs for generation of alerts. The system can receive a selection of one or more asset outputs and two or more conditions. The conditions are applied to the selection of one or more assets to generate alerts when at least one of the conditions is satisfied.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A system for providing remote monitoring of assets, the system comprising:
a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith; and
one or more processors configured to execute the program instructions to cause the system to:
provide secure communications with one or more assets via one or more industrial controller devices;
receive, via the one or more industrial controller devices, operational data comprising inputs received from the one or more assets;
generate a graphical user interface including user interface elements usable for:
selection of inputs from the one or more assets, and
specification of conditions to be applied to inputs to cause generation of alerts;
receive, via the graphical user interface, a keyword or a key characteristic;
in response to receiving the keyword or the key characteristic, identify and provide a listing, in the graphical user interface, of any inputs from the one or more assets matching the keyword or the key characteristic;
receive, via the graphical user interface, selection of a first plurality of inputs from the listing of the identified inputs;
in response to receiving, via the graphical user interface, a user input, create a first group of inputs comprising the first plurality of inputs selected via the graphical user interface;
receive, via the graphical user interface, a first condition comprising a first threshold;
receive, via the graphical user interface, a second condition comprising a second threshold; and
apply both the first threshold and the second threshold to operational data associated with the first group of inputs to generate one or more alerts when either or both of the first threshold or the second threshold is satisfied.
2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute the program instructions to further cause the system to:
prior to application of both the first threshold and the second threshold to the operational data associated with the first group of inputs, generate one or more alert previews.
3. The system of claim 1 , wherein:
the first condition further comprises a first logic, and a first display setting, wherein the first display setting comprises a first color; and
the second condition further comprises a second logic, and a second display setting, wherein the second display setting comprises a second color.
4. The system of claim 3 , wherein:
the first color is applied to alerts generated when the first threshold is satisfied according to the first logic; and
the second color is applied to alerts generated when the second threshold is satisfied according to the second logic.
5. The system of claim 4 , wherein:
the first condition further comprises a first notification setting; and
the second condition further comprises a second notification setting.
6. The system of claim 5 , wherein each of the first notification setting and the second notification setting comprises at least one of: recipient information, notification delivery method, or frequency of notification delivery.
7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute the program instructions to further cause the system to:
determine, based on the keyword or the key characteristic, a listing of matching assets.
8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the inputs are groupable to enable selection of multiple inputs via selection of a single group of inputs, and wherein groups of inputs are identifiable or searchable using a keyword or a common characteristic.
9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the common characteristic is an input type such that a group of inputs share the same input type.
10. A method for providing remote monitoring of assets, the method comprising:
by one or more processors executing program instructions:
providing secure communications with one or more assets via one or more industrial controller devices;
receiving, via the one or more industrial controller devices, operational data comprising inputs received from the one or more assets;
generating a graphical user interface including user interface elements usable for:
selection of inputs from the one or more assets, and
specification of conditions to be applied to inputs to cause generation of alerts;
receiving, via the graphical user interface, a keyword or a key characteristic;
in response to receiving the keyword or the key characteristic, identifying and providing a listing, in the graphical user interface, of any inputs from the one or more assets matching the keyword or the key characteristic;
receiving, via the graphical user interface, selection of a first plurality of inputs from the listing of the identified inputs;
in response to receiving, via the graphical user interface, a user input, creating a first group of inputs comprising the first plurality of inputs selected via the graphical user interface;
receiving, via the graphical user interface, a first condition comprising a first threshold;
receiving, via the graphical user interface, a second condition comprising a second threshold; and
applying both the first threshold and the second threshold to operational data associated with the first group of inputs to generate one or more alerts when either or both of the first threshold or the second threshold is satisfied.
11. The method of claim 10 further comprising:
by the one or more processors executing program instructions:
prior to application of both the first threshold and the second threshold to operational data associated with the first group of inputs, generating one or more alert previews.
12. The method of claim 10 , wherein:
the first condition further comprises a first logic, and a first display setting, wherein the first display setting comprises a first color; and
the second condition further comprises a second logic, and a second display setting, wherein the second display setting comprises a second color.
13. The method of claim 12 , wherein:
the first color is applied to alerts generated when the first threshold is satisfied according to the first logic; and
the second color is applied to alerts generated when the second threshold is satisfied according to the second logic.
14. The method of claim 13 , wherein:
the first condition further comprises a first notification setting; and
the second condition further comprises a second notification setting.
15. The method of claim 14 , wherein each of the first notification setting and the second notification setting comprises at least one of: recipient information, notification delivery method, or frequency of notification delivery.
16. The method of claim 10 further comprising:
determining, based on the keyword or the key characteristic, a listing of matching assets.
17. The method of claim 10 , wherein the inputs are groupable to enable selection of multiple inputs via selection of a single group of inputs, and wherein groups of inputs are identifiable or searchable using a keyword or a common characteristic.
18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the common characteristic is an input type such that a group of inputs share the same input type.
19. A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon a computer program, the computer program including executable instructions that instruct a computer system to at least:
provide secure communications with one or more assets via one or more industrial controller devices;
receive, via the one or more industrial controller devices, operational data comprising inputs received from the one or more assets;
generate a graphical user interface including user interface elements usable for:
selection of inputs from the one or more assets, and
specification of conditions to be applied to inputs to cause generation of alerts;
receive, via the graphical user interface, a keyword or a key characteristic;
in response to receiving the keyword or the key characteristic, identify and provide a listing, in the graphical user interface, of any inputs from the one or more assets matching the keyword or the key characteristic;
