Abstract

Provided is a lens apparatus attachable and removable to a camera apparatus, the lens apparatus comprising a communication device configured to transmit, to an external device, information for light amount compensation of image data obtained by image pickup in the camera apparatus, in which the information includes information of a coefficient A 0 of a term of 0-th-order with respect to an image height in a polynomial of n-th-order with respect to the image height, and in which a conditional expression 0.7< A 0 ( Z )×( Fw/F ( Z )) 2 <1.3 is satisfied where A 0 (Z) represents the coefficient A 0 at a zoom state Z, F(Z) represents an effective F-number at the zoom state Z, and Fw represents an effective F-number at a wide angle end.

The invention claimed is: 
     
       1. A lens apparatus attachable and removable to a camera apparatus, the lens apparatus comprising a communication device configured to transmit, to an external device, information for light amount compensation of image data obtained by image pickup in the camera apparatus,
 wherein the information includes information of a coefficient A 0  of a term of 0-th-order with respect to an image height in a polynomial of n-th-order with respect to the image height, and 
 wherein a conditional expression
   0.7< A   0 ( Z )×( Fw/F ( Z )) 2 <1.3
 
 
 is satisfied where A 0 (Z) represents the coefficient A 0  at a zoom state Z different from a zoom state of a wide angle end, F(Z) represents an effective F-number at the zoom state Z, and Fw represents an effective F-number at the wide angle end. 
 
     
     
       2. A lens apparatus comprising a storage storing information for light amount compensation of image data obtained via the lens apparatus,
 wherein the information includes information of a coefficient A 0  of a term of 0-th-order with respect to an image height in a polynomial of n-th-order with respect to the image height, and 
 wherein a conditional expression
   0.7< A   0 ( Z )×( Fw/F ( Z )) 2 <1.3
 
 
 is satisfied where A 0 (Z) represents the coefficient A 0  at a zoom state Z different from a zoom state of a wide angle end, F(Z) represents an effective F-number at the zoom state Z, and Fw represents an effective F-number at the wide angle end. 
 
     
     
       3. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein A 0 (Z) satisfies a conditional expression
   0.9< A   0 ( Z )×( Fw/F ( Z )) 2 <1.1.
 
 
     
     
       4. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein A 0 (Z) satisfies a conditional expression
     A   0 ( Z )×( Fw/F ( Z )) 2 ≠1.0.
 
 
     
     
       5. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 ,
 wherein the lens apparatus further comprises a zoom lens unit, a focus lens unit, and an aperture stop, and 
 wherein the information is with respect to each of a plurality of combinations of a state of the zoom lens unit, a state of the focus lens unit, and a state of the aperture stop. 
 
     
     
       6. The lens apparatus according to  claim 5 , further comprising an extender lens unit insertable into and removable from an optical path to change a focal length of the lens apparatus,
 wherein each of the plurality of combinations include a state of the extender lens unit. 
 
     
     
       7. The lens apparatus according to  claim 6 , wherein a conditional expression
   0.7< A   0E /( A   00   ×B   2 )<1.3 
 is satisfied where a coefficients A 00  represents the coefficient A 0  at a state in which the extender lens unit is not inserted into the optical path, coefficients A 0E  represents the coefficient A 0  at a state in which the extender lens unit is inserted into the optical path, and B represents a focal length changing magnification of the extender lens unit. 
 
     
     
       8. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising a user interface device configured to set a coefficient of the polynomial. 
     
     
       9. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein n of the n-th-order is 3. 
     
     
       10. The lens apparatus according to  claim 9 , wherein a conditional expression
   −0.1< A 2+6× A 3<0.3
 
 is satisfied where A2 represents a coefficient of a term of second-order in the polynomial, and A3 represents a coefficient of a term of third-order in the polynomial. 
 
     
     
       11. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein n of the n-th-order is 4. 
     
     
       12. The lens apparatus according to  claim 11 , wherein a conditional expression

       is satisfied where A3 represents a coefficient of a term of third-order in the polynomial, and A4 represents a coefficient of a term of fourth-order in the polynomial. 
     
     
       13. The lens apparatus according to  claim 2 , comprising a first lens unit, closest to an object of all lens units, configured not to be moved for zooming, and including a sub unit configured to be moved for focusing. 
     
     
       14. The lens apparatus according to  claim 13 , wherein conditional expressions
   0.7< A   0 ( Zw )/ A   0 ( Zt×Fw/Ft )<1.3, and 
   0.7< A   0 (( Zw+Zt×Fw/Ft )/2)/ A   0 ( Zt×Fw/Ft )<1.3 
 are satisfied where Zw represents a focal length at the wide angle end, Zt represents a focal length at a telephoto end, Ft represents an effective F-number at the telephoto end, A 0 (Zw) represents the coefficient A 0  with respect to the focal length Zw, A 0 (Ztx Fw/Ft) represents the coefficient A 0  with respect to a focal length Ztx Fw/Ft, and A 0 ((Zw+Ztx Fw/Ft)/2) represents the coefficient A 0  with respect to a focal length (Zw+ZtxFw/Ft)/2. 
 
     
     
       15. The lens apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the communication device is configured to transmit only the coefficient A 0  of coefficients of the polynomial to the external device. 
     
     
       16. The lens apparatus according to  claim 1 , comprising a zoom lens unit, a focus lens unit, and an aperture stop,
 wherein the information is with respect to each of a plurality of combinations of a state of the zoom lens unit, a state of the focus lens unit, and a state of the aperture stop, and 
 wherein the communication device is configured to transmit information with respect to one of the plurality of combinations at each point in time to the external device. 
 
     
     
       17. An image pickup apparatus comprising:
 a lens apparatus according to  claim 2 ; and 
 an image pickup element, 
 wherein the storage stores the information for light amount compensation of image data obtained via the image pickup element picking up an image formed by the lens apparatus. 
 
     
     
       18. A processing apparatus configured to receive the information from the lens apparatus of  claim 2 , and configured to execute processing for light amount compensation of the image data based on the received information. 
     
     
       19. A camera apparatus comprising the processing apparatus of  claim 18 . 
     
     
       20. A lens apparatus attachable and removable to a camera apparatus, the lens apparatus comprising:
 a communication device configured to transmit, to the camera apparatus, information for light amount compensation of image data obtained by image pickup in the camera apparatus; and 
 a processor, 
 wherein the information includes information of coefficients of terms of a polynomial of n-th-order with respect to an image height, n being an integer not less than 1, 
 wherein a coefficient of a term of 0-th-order with respect to the image height in the polynomial is a coefficient that varies depending on a zoom state of the lens apparatus, and 
 wherein the processor is configured to cause the communication device to transmit information of only the coefficient of the term of 0-th-order of the coefficients of the terms, based on information about the camera apparatus. 
 
     
     
       21. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein the communication device is configured to receive the information about the camera apparatus from the camera apparatus. 
     
     
       22. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the communication device to transmit information about the zoom state. 
     
     
       23. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein the coefficients of the terms are coefficients that vary depending on the zoom state of the lens apparatus, a focus state of the lens apparatus, and an aperture stop state of the lens apparatus. 
     
     
       24. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein the information about the camera apparatus is information about a resource available for the camera apparatus to use for the light amount compensation. 
     
     
       25. The lens apparatus according to  claim 24 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the communication device to transmit information of only the coefficient of the term of 0-th-order in a case where an amount of the resource is less than a threshold. 
     
     
       26. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein the information about the camera apparatus is information about a length of time for the camera apparatus to allow for transmission of the information for the light amount compensation. 
     
     
       27. The lens apparatus according to  claim 26 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the communication device to transmit information of only the coefficient of the term of 0-th-order in a case where the length of time is less than a threshold. 
     
     
       28. The lens apparatus according to  claim 20 , wherein n of the n-th-order is not less than 3. 
     
     
       29. An image pickup apparatus comprising:
 the lens apparatus of  claim 20 ; and 
 a camera apparatus including an image pickup element configured to receive an image formed by the lens apparatus with the lens apparatus mounted on the camera apparatus.
