Claims

Abstract

A display device comprises a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixels defined by a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines; and an auxiliary ground voltage line disposed between two adjacent data lines of the plurality of data lines.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A display device, comprising:
 a display panel includes a display area where a plurality of sub-pixels is located and a non-display area disposed outside the display area; 
 a plurality of gate lines including a scan line and an emission (EM) line; 
 a plurality of data lines connected to a MUX driving portion to be selectively supplied with a signal and extending in a first direction; 
 a first power line extending in the first direction and applying a high potential power supply voltage to the plurality of sub-pixels; 
 a second power line disposed in the non-display area at each of upper and lower sides of the display area and applying a low potential power supply voltage; and 
 a third power line disposed in the non-display area at each of left and right sides of the display area to connect the second power line to another second power line, 
 wherein the third power line has a different width from the second power line, and 
 wherein first and second areas of the non-display area respectively provided with the third power lines at the left and right sides of the display area have a narrower width than third and fourth areas of the non-display area respectively provided with the second power lines at the upper and lower sides of the display area. 
 
     
     
       2. The display device of  claim 1 , further comprising a fourth power line applying a different power supply voltage from the first power line,
 wherein the fourth power line is disposed in the display area. 
 
     
     
       3. The display device of  claim 2 , wherein the fourth power line is electrically connected to the second power line or the third power line. 
     
     
       4. The display device of  claim 2 , wherein a width of the third power line is greater than a width of the fourth power line and smaller than a width of the second power line. 
     
     
       5. The display device of  claim 2 , wherein the second power line extends in a second direction crossing the first direction, and the third and fourth power lines extend in the first direction. 
     
     
       6. The display device of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one shielding line disposed between the first power line and one of the plurality of data lines. 
     
     
       7. The display device of  claim 6 , wherein the at least one shielding line applies the low potential power supply voltage. 
     
     
       8. The display device of  claim 6 , wherein the at least one shielding line applies an initialization voltage. 
     
     
       9. The display device of  claim 6 , wherein the at least one shielding line is disposed on a same layer as the plurality of data lines. 
     
     
       10. The display device of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of sub-pixels is connected to the first power line through a connection pattern to share the first power line. 
     
     
       11. The display device of  claim 10 , wherein the connection pattern is disposed on a different layer from the first power line. 
     
     
       12. The display device of  claim 10 , wherein the connection pattern is formed of a different material from the first power line. 
     
     
       13. The display device of  claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of sub-pixels includes a light emitting element and a pixel circuit for driving the light emitting element, and
 wherein the pixel circuit includes a driving transistor, a first transistor controlled by a scan signal, a second transistor controlled by an emission (EM) signal, and at least one capacitor. 
 
     
     
       14. The display device of  claim 13 , wherein the light emitting element includes an anode, a light emitting layer, and a cathode, and the cathode is connected to the second power line or the third power line. 
     
     
       15. The display device of  claim 13 , further comprising a reference line applying a reference voltage to sense a threshold voltage of the driving transistor. 
     
     
       16. The display device of  claim 15 , wherein the reference voltage is a DC voltage. 
     
     
       17. The display device of  claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of sub-pixels includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth transistors, a storage capacitor, and a light emitting diode. 
     
     
       18. The display device of  claim 17 , wherein the first transistor is controlled by a scan signal, the second transistor is controlled by a voltage of a first electrode of the storage capacitor, the third transistor is controlled by an emission (EM) signal, the fourth transistor is controlled by the emission signal, the fifth transistor is controlled by the scan signal, the sixth transistor is controlled by the scan signal, the seventh transistor is controlled by the emission signal, and the eighth transistor is controlled by another scan signal, the storage capacitor is connected to the seventh transistor and the eighth transistor, and the light emitting diode is connected to the third transistor and the second power line. 
     
     
       19. The display device of  claim 1 , wherein the MUX driving portion is disposed between a data driving portion and the display area. 
     
     
       20. The display device of  claim 1 , wherein the MUX driving portion includes first and second MUX transistors. 
     
     
       21. A display device, comprising:
 a display panel includes a display area where a plurality of sub-pixels is located and a non-display area disposed outside the display area; 
 a plurality of gate lines including a scan line and an emission (EM) line; 
 a plurality of data lines connected to a MUX driving portion to be selectively supplied with a signal and extending in a first direction; 
 a first power line extending in the first direction and applying a high potential power supply voltage to the plurality of sub-pixels; 
 a second power line disposed in the non-display area at each of upper and lower sides of the display area and applying a low potential power supply voltage; 
 a third power line disposed in the non-display area at each of left and right sides of the display area to connect the second power line to another second power line, wherein the third power line has a different width from the second power line; and 
 first and second reference lines applying a reference voltage, 
 wherein the plurality of sub-pixels includes first, second, and third sub-pixels, and the plurality of data lines includes first, second, and third data lines, 
 wherein the first data line is disposed at one side of the first sub-pixel, wherein the first and second reference lines are disposed between the first and second sub-pixels, and the first power line is disposed between the first and second reference lines, and wherein the second and third data lines are disposed between the second and third sub-pixels, and an auxiliary ground voltage line is disposed between the second and third data lines. 
 
     
     
       22. The display device of  claim 21 , wherein the auxiliary ground voltage line applies the low potential power supply voltage.
