Catalyst of platinum/zirconium dioxide/SBA-15 and method for preparing the same

Abstract

A catalyst including platinum (Pt) and a composite support. The composite support includes ZrO2/mesoporous silica sieve SBA-15. The platinum accounts for 0.01-0.3 wt. % of the catalyst. ZrO2 accounts for 5-20 wt. % of the composite support.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A composition of matter, comprising:
 platinum (Pt); and 
 a composite support, the composite support comprising ZrO 2 /mesoporous silica sieve SBA-15; 
 
       wherein:
 ZrO 2  accounts for 5-20 wt. % of the composite support; and 
 the platinum accounts for 0.05-0.15 wt. % of the composition of matter. 
 
     
     
       2. The composition of matter of  claim 1 , wherein the platinum accounts for 0.08-0.10 wt. % of the composition of matter. 
     
     
       3. The composition of matter of  claim 1 , wherein the ZrO 2  accounts for 10-15 wt. % of the composite support. 
     
     
       4. The composition of matter of  claim 1 , wherein the ZrO 2  is a film structure coating the mesoporous silica sieve SBA-15, and the platinum is disposed on the film structure of ZrO 2 .
