Abstract

A method for controlling a sound control device in a vehicle includes obtaining at least one of a reference signal obtained from a sensor or an error signal obtained from a sound signal of a microphone, estimating a road surface environment corresponding to a road surface on which the vehicle is traveling based on the reference signal, and adjusting a gain for generating a noise control signal having a magnitude within a preset range based on at least one of the road surface environment or the error signal.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

       1. A method for controlling a sound control device in a vehicle, the method comprising:
 obtaining, by a signal collector, a reference signal obtained from a sensor and an error signal obtained from a sound signal of a microphone;
 estimating, by an estimator, a road surface environment corresponding to a road surface on which the vehicle is traveling based on the reference signal; and
 adjusting, by a gain controller, a gain for generating a noise control signal having a magnitude within a preset range, based on at least one of the road surface environment or the error signal,
 wherein the adjusting includes:
 increasing the gain to generate the noise control signal having the magnitude greater than or equal to a preset minimum performance of a speaker, when the gain controller concludes that a road surface roughness corresponding to the road surface environment is smaller than a preset reference value.

       2. The control method of claim 1 , further including:
 transmitting, by a control signal transmitter, the noise control signal generated based on the adjusted gain to an amplifier.

       3. The control method of claim 1 , wherein the obtaining includes:
 extracting an error signal representing a residual noise in the vehicle from the sound signal, using a feedback signal mixed from an audio signal and a previous noise control signal.

       4. The control method of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting includes:
 reducing the gain to generate the noise control signal having the magnitude less than or equal to a preset maximum performance of the speaker, when the gain controller concludes that the road surface roughness corresponding to the road surface environment is greater than the preset reference value.

       5. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium on which a program for performing the method of claim 1 is recorded.

       6. A sound control apparatus in a vehicle, the sound control apparatus comprising:
 a signal collector configured for obtaining a reference signal obtained from a sensor and an error signal obtained from a sound signal of a microphone;
 an estimator configured for estimating a road surface environment corresponding to a road surface on which the vehicle is traveling based on the reference signal; and
 a gain controller configured for adjusting a gain for generating a noise control signal having a magnitude within a preset range based on at least one of the road surface environment or the error signal,
 wherein the gain controller is configured to increase the gain to generate the noise control signal having the magnitude greater than or equal to a preset minimum performance of a speaker, when the gain controller concludes that a road surface roughness corresponding to the road surface environment is smaller than a preset reference value.

       7. The sound control apparatus of claim 6 , further including:
 a control signal transmitter configured for transmitting the noise control signal generated based on the adjusted gain to an amplifier.

       8. The sound control apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the signal collector is configured to extract an error signal representing a residual noise in the vehicle from the sound signal using a feedback signal mixed from an audio signal and a previous noise control signal.

       9. The sound control apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the gain controller is configured to reduce the gain to generate the noise control signal having the magnitude less than or equal to a preset maximum performance of the speaker, when the gain controller concludes that the road surface roughness corresponding to the road surface environment is greater than the preset reference value.
