Abstract
A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for a geo-fenced zone of commerce are described. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include subdividing a geographic area, generating corresponding geo-fences, and presenting the corresponding geo-fences as listings in a navigable online marketplace.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe invention claimed is:
1. A system comprising:
one or more hardware processors; and
one or more computer-readable mediums storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.
2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.
3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.
4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the listing interface lists a cost for the geo-fence.
5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.
6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.
7. The system of claim 5 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the geographic location.
8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the geo-fence identifier includes an identification of the geographic location, the identification of the geographic location comprising an image that depicts the geographic location.
9. A method comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.
10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising:
receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence; and
calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.
11. The method of claim 9 , wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.
12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.
13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the geographic location.
14. The method of claim 9 , wherein the geo-fence identifier includes an identification of the geographic location, the identification of the geographic location comprising an image that depicts the geographic location.
15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more computer processors of one or more computing devices, causes the one or more computing devices to perform operations comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.
16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the one or more computing devices to perform further operations comprising:
receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence; and
calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.
17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.
18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.
19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the geographic location.
20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the geo-fence identifier includes an identification of the geographic location, the identification of the geographic location comprising an image that depicts the geographic location.Cited by (0)
