Abstract

An example operation may include one or more of receiving, by a document processor node, a document and a signed digital receipt identifying an owner of a version of the document associated with a blockchain transaction, verifying, by a document processor node, the version of the document based on the signed digital receipt, and executing a smart contract to enable a conflict-free document versioning based on a hash of the document recorded on a ledger of the blockchain.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

       1. A system, comprising:
 a memory configured to store a blockchain ledger; and
 a processor configured to:
 receive a document and a signed digital receipt of the document which includes a claim of ownership of the document and which is signed by an owner of the document;
 hash content of the document to create a generated hash of the document;
 generate a blockchain transaction comprising the hash of the document and the signed digital receipt of the document, sign the blockchain transaction, and submit the blockchain transaction to the blockchain ledger with a request to compare the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt to content previously stored on the blockchain ledger;
 verify existence of the document on the blockchain ledger based on an original document previously submitted to the blockchain ledger which verifies the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt; and
 in response to the verification, update the blockchain ledger based on verification actions performed on the document when verifying the existence of the document on the blockchain ledger.

       2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the document comprises a digital document with digital content.

       3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute a smart contract to compare the signed digital receipt and the generated hash of the document against details previously recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to verify a version of the document based on a version identifier of the document stored on the blockchain ledger and version verification data recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to maintain an access log of the document on the blockchain ledger.

       6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the processor is further configured to generate events for the access log based on read, update, and the verification actions performed on the document.

       7. A method, comprising:
 receiving, by a document processor node, a document and a signed digital receipt of the document which includes a claim of ownership of the document and which is signed by an owner of the document;
 hashing, by the document processor node, content of the document to create a generated hash of the document;
 generating a blockchain transaction comprising the hash of the document and the signed digital receipt of the document, sign the blockchain transaction, and submit the blockchain transaction to the blockchain ledger with a request to compare the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt to content previously stored on the blockchain ledger;
 verifying, by the document processor node, existence of the document on the blockchain ledger based on an original document previously submitted to the blockchain ledger which verifies the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt; and
 in response to the verification, updating the blockchain ledger based on verification actions performed on the document when verifying the existence of the document on the blockchain ledger.

       8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the document comprises a digital document with digital content.

       9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the method further comprises executing a smart contract to compare the signed digital receipt and the generated hash of the document against details previously recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       10. The method of claim 7 , further comprising verifying a version of the document based on a version identifier of the document stored on the blockchain ledger and version verification data recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       11. The method of claim 7 , further comprising maintaining an access log of the document on the blockchain ledger.

       12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising generating events for the access log based on read, update, and the verification actions performed on the document.

       13. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions, that when read by a processor, cause the processor to perform:
 receiving a document and a signed digital receipt of the document with one or more claims about the document uploaded from a user device which includes a claim of ownership of the document and which is signed by an owner of the document;
 hashing content of the document to create a generated hash of the document;
 generating a blockchain transaction comprising the hash of the document and the signed digital receipt of the document, sign the blockchain transaction, and submit the blockchain transaction to the blockchain ledger with a request to compare the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt to content previously stored on the blockchain ledger;
 verifying existence of the document on the blockchain ledger based on an original document previously submitted to the blockchain ledger which verifies the claim of ownership of the document included in the signed digital receipt; and
 in response to the verification, updating the blockchain ledger based on verification actions performed on the document when verifying the existence of the document on the blockchain ledger.

       14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the document comprises a digital document with digital content.

       15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute a smart contract to compare the signed digital receipt and the generated hash of the document against details previously recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the processor is further configured to verify a version of the document based on a version identifier of the document stored on the blockchain ledger and version verification data recorded on the blockchain ledger.

       17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the processor is further configured to generate events for an access log based on read, update, and the verification actions performed on the document.
