Claims

Abstract

A system for controlling a laser treatment, comprising a three dimensional image generator configured to receive three dimensional surface data and to generate a user display of the three dimensional surface data, a user control configured to allow a user to select one or more sections from the user display of the three dimensional surface data and to assign a laser wavelength to the selected section and a robotic treatment device configured to receive the assigned laser wavelength and the selected section and to control a laser device to deliver a laser treatment to the selected section at the assigned laser wavelength.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A system for controlling a laser treatment, comprising:
 a three dimensional image generator configured to receive three dimensional surface data and to generate a user display of the three dimensional surface data; 
 a user control configured to allow a user to select one or more sections from the user display of the three dimensional surface data and to assign two or more laser wavelengths to the selected section; and 
 a treatment device configured to receive the assigned laser wavelengths and the selected section and to control a laser device to deliver a laser treatment to the selected section at the assigned laser wavelengths and to identify differences between a treatment plan and the delivered laser treatment on the user display and to control a second treatment device in response to the differences. 
 
     
     
       2. The system of  claim 1  wherein the one or more sections include two overlapping sections of the user display of the three dimensional surface data and the differences between the treatment plan and the delivered laser treatment on the user display include differences in laser parameters. 
     
     
       3. The system of  claim 1  wherein the one or more sections include two overlapping sections of the user display of the three dimensional surface data and the assigned laser wavelengths for each of the two overlapping sections is different. 
     
     
       4. The system of  claim 1  wherein the three dimensional image generator comprises a laser scanning device and the second treatment device comprises a suction device. 
     
     
       5. The system of  claim 1  wherein the three dimensional image generator is configured to detect one or more markers in the three dimensional surface data and the second treatment device comprises a cooling device. 
     
     
       6. The system of  claim 1  wherein the user control comprises a light pen device that is configured to interact with the user display of the three dimensional surface data and to generate coordinate data in response to a user control of the light pen device. 
     
     
       7. The system of  claim 1  wherein the second device is actuated as a function of one or more treatment variables. 
     
     
       8. The system of  claim 1  wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes one or more treatment variables for each of two or more treatment areas and the second device is a cooling device with a cooling level that is selected as a function of one or more of the treatment variables. 
     
     
       9. The system of  claim 1  wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes two or more treatment variables associated with the treatment device for each of two or more treatment areas. 
     
     
       10. The system of  claim 1  wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes a user interface that allows a user to modify one or more parameters of the treatment map. 
     
     
       11. A method for controlling a laser treatment, comprising:
 receiving three dimensional surface data at a three dimensional image generator; 
 generating a user display of the three dimensional surface data; 
 selecting one or more sections from the user display of the three dimensional surface data with a user control; 
 assigning a laser wavelength to the selected section; 
 receiving the assigned laser wavelength and the selected section at a treatment device; 
 controlling a laser device to deliver a laser treatment to the selected section at the assigned laser wavelength using the treatment device and to compensate for a tilt of a treatment head of the treatment device, wherein the user control tracks treatment and is configured to receive one or more user selections to modify one or more of the laser wavelengths; and 
 controlling a second device in response to one or more sensor data inputs, wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes one or more treatment variables and the second device is controlled as a function of the treatment map. 
 
     
     
       12. The method of  claim 11  wherein the one or more sections include two overlapping sections of the user display of the three dimensional surface data, the sensor data inputs comprise a heat sensor input and the second device comprises a cooling device. 
     
     
       13. The method of  claim 11  wherein the one or more sections include two overlapping sections of the user display of the three dimensional surface data and the assigned laser wavelength for each of the two overlapping sections is different and the second device comprises a suction device. 
     
     
       14. The method of  claim 11  wherein the three dimensional image generator comprises a laser scanning device with a plurality of sensors configured to detect the tilt of the treatment head. 
     
     
       15. The method of  claim 11  wherein the three dimensional image generator is configured to detect one or more markers in the three dimensional surface data and a tilt of the treatment head. 
     
     
       16. The method of  claim 11  wherein the user control comprises a light pen device that is configured to interact with the user display of the three dimensional surface data and to generate coordinate data in response to a user control of the light pen device. 
     
     
       17. The method of  claim 11  wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes one or more treatment variables for each of two or more treatment areas and the second device comprises a suction device that is controlled as a function of the treatment map. 
     
     
       18. The method of  claim 11  wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes two or more treatment variables associated with the treatment device for each of two or more treatment areas and the second device comprises a cooling device that is controlled as a function of the treatment map. 
     
     
       19. A method for controlling a laser treatment, comprising:
 receiving three-dimensional surface data at a three-dimensional image generator; 
 generating a user display of the three-dimensional surface data; 
 selecting one or more sections from the user display of the three-dimensional surface data with a user control; 
 assigning a laser wavelength to a path in the selected section; 
 receiving the assigned laser wavelength and the selected section at a treatment device; 
 controlling a laser device to deliver a laser treatment to the selected section at the assigned laser wavelength using the treatment device; and 
 controlling a second device as a function of a sensor input, wherein the user control comprises a treatment map that includes one or more treatment variables and the second device is controlled as a function of the treatment map.
