Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
The invention claimed is:

       1. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a plurality of instructions, wherein execution of the plurality of instructions by one or more processors causes the one or more processors to perform a plurality of operations comprising:
 determining whether wagering on a game played on a mobile device has resulted in a wagering balance greater than a non-zero monetary threshold;
 determining a location of the mobile device based on at least one of a signal strength, a video analysis, or a satellite positioning system;
 determining a message based on the wagering balance being greater than the non-zero monetary threshold and the location being within a maximum distance from a predetermined location;
 determining whether another electronic device is in a desired range of the mobile device based on the location and a second location of the another electronic device; and
 in response to determining the message and determining that the another electronic device is in the desired range, causing the another electronic device to perform an action related to the message,
 wherein the mobile device and the another electronic device are remote from the non-transitory computer readable medium and the one or more processors.

       2. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the action includes at least one of generating an audio, video, or light output.

       3. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein determining whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determining whether the another electronic device is in a line of sight of the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the line of sight.

       4. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein determining whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determining whether the another electronic device is in a same room as the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the same room.

       5. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the predetermined location is a retail establishment.

       6. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the message comprises a promotion.

       7. A method comprising:
 controlling, by one or more processors:
 determining whether wagering on a game played on a mobile device has resulted in a wagering balance greater than a non-zero monetary threshold;
 determining a location of the mobile device based on at least one of a signal strength, a video analysis, or a satellite positioning system;
 determining a message based on the wagering balance being greater than the non-zero monetary threshold and the location being within a maximum distance from a predetermined location;
 determining whether another electronic device is in a desired range of the mobile device based on the location and a second location of the another electronic device; and
 in response to determining the message and determining that the another electronic device is in the desired range, causing the another electronic device to perform an action related to the message,
 wherein the mobile device and the another electronic device are remote from the one or more processors.

       8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the action includes at least one of generating an audio, video, or light output.

       9. The method of claim 7 , wherein determining whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determining whether the another electronic device is in a line of sight of the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the line of sight.

       10. The method of claim 7 , wherein determining whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determining whether the another electronic device is in a same room as the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the same room.

       11. The method of claim 7 , wherein the predetermined location is a retail establishment.

       12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the message comprises a promotion.

       13. An apparatus comprising:
 one or more processors configured to:
 determine whether wagering on a game played on a mobile device has resulted in a wagering balance greater than a non-zero monetary threshold;
 determine a location of the mobile device based on at least one of a signal strength, a video analysis, or a satellite positioning system;
 determine a message based on the wagering balance being greater than the non-zero monetary threshold and the location being within a maximum distance from a predetermined location;
 determine whether another electronic device is in a desired range of the mobile device based on the location and a second location of the another electronic device; and
 in response to determining the message and determining that the another electronic device is in the desired range, cause the another electronic device to perform an action related to the message,
 wherein the mobile device and the another electronic device are remote from the one or more processors.

       14. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the action includes at least one of generating an audio, video, or light output.

       15. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein determine whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determine whether the another electronic device is in a line of sight of the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the line of sight.

       16. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein determine whether the another electronic device is within the desired range of the electronic device further comprises determine whether the another electronic device is in a same room as the mobile device, and wherein the another electronic device performs the action based on whether the another electronic device is in the same room.

       17. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the predetermined location is a retail establishment.

       18. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the message comprises a promotion.
