Plastic Laminate

Abstract

A plastic laminate with two or more plastic layers at least one of which is polyhydroxyalkanoate, such as hydroxybutyrate/hydroxyvalerate copolymer (HB/HV). Next to the polyhydroxyalkanoate layer ( 2 ) and attached to it there is a layer ( 3 ) of biodegradable polyester amide or biodegradable starch derivative.

A plastic laminate with two or more plastic layers of which at least one is polyhydroxyalkanoate, such as hydroxybutyrate/hydroxyvalerate copolymer (HB/HV), characterized in that next to the polyhydroxyalkanoate layer ( 2 ) and attached to it there is a layer ( 3 ) of biodegradable polyester amide or biodegradable starch derivative.  
     
     
         2 . A plastic laminate according to    claim 1   , characterized in that it contains two polyhydroxyalkanoate layers ( 2 ,  4 ) between which there is a layer ( 3 ) of biodegradable polyester amide or biodegradable starch derivative.  
     
     
         3 . A plastic laminate according to claims  1  or  2 , characterized in that the plastic layers are placed on top of a naturally degrading cellulose-based basic layer ( 1 ).  
     
     
         4 . A plastic laminate according to    claim 3   , characterized in that between the basic layer ( 1 ) and the polyhydroxyalkanoate layer ( 2 ) there is a layer ( 7 ) of biodegradable starch derivative as an adhesive layer.  
     
     
         5 . A plastic laminate according to one of the above claims  1 - 4 , characterized in that the polyhydroxyalkanoate layer ( 4 ,  6 ) forms the outer surface of the plastic laminate.  
     
     
         6 . A plastic laminate according to one of the above claims  1 - 5 , characterized in that the plastic layers are laminated one on top of each other by coextrusion of molten plastic material.
