Abstract
Control is effected to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print, and information regarding a parent print job is produced on the basis of information regarding the plurality of child print jobs produced under control of the distributed print, and the parent job is displayed in a distinguishable manner from the child print job.

1 . An information processing apparatus for controlling distributed print, comprising:
distributed print controlling means for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; and operation controlling means for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with operation instruction for the parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs.

An information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising display controlling means for displaying statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced in accordance with the control of said distributed print controlling means and a status of the parent print job which is the base for the plurality of child print jobs in a distinguishable manner.
3 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling means is a deleting operation.
4 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling means, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of the information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
5 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling means is an interrupting operation.

An information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein, in the interruption of the print job in said operation controlling means, the child print job in a memory is interrupted when said child print job is stored in said memory of the information processing apparatus, and, interruption of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
7 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein said display controlling means provides a user interface for recognizing the status of the parent print job.
8 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein said display controlling means displays a list of the statuses of all of the child print jobs produced from the parent print job by distributed print processing when instruction of display of the child print jobs is effected by designating the parent print job in said user interface.
9 . An information processing apparatus for controlling distributed print, comprising:
distributed print controlling means for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; producing means for producing a status of a parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs on the basis of respective statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced under the control of said distributed print controlling means; and display controlling means for displaying the status of the parent print job produced by said producing means.

An information processing apparatus according to claim 9 , further comprising operation controlling means for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with predetermined operation instruction for the parent print job.
11 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling means is a deleting operation.
12 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling means, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of the information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
13 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling means is an interrupting operation.
14 . An information processing apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein, in the interruption of the print job in said operation controlling means, the child print job in a memory is interrupted when said child print job is stored in said memory of the information processing apparatus, and, interruption of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
15 . A distributed print controlling method for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling step for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; and an operation controlling step for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the present print job in accordance with operation instruction for the parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs.

A method according to claim 15 , further comprising a display controlling step for displaying statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced in accordance with the control of said distributed print controlling means and a status of the parent print job which is the base for the plurality of child print jobs in a distinguishable manner.
17 . A method according to claim 15 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is a deleting operation.
18 . A method according to claim 17 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of an information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
19 . A method according to claim 15 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling means is an interrupting operation.
20 . A method according to claim 19 , wherein, in the interruption of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is interrupted when said child print job is stored in said memory of an information processing apparatus, and, interruption of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
21 . A method according to claim 16 , wherein said display controlling step provides a user interface for recognizing the status of the parent print job.
22 . A method according to claim 21 , wherein said display controlling step displays a list of the statuses of all of the child print jobs produced from the parent print job by distributed print processing when instruction of display of the child print jobs is effected by designating the parent print job in said user interface.
23 . A distributed print controlling method for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling step for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; a producing step for producing a status of a parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs on the basis of respective statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced under the control of said distributed print controlling step; and a display controlling step for displaying the status of the parent print job produced by said producing step.
24 . A method according to claim 23 , further comprising an operation controlling step for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with predetermined operation instruction for the parent print job.
25 . A method according to claim 24 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is a deleting operation.

A method according to claim 25 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of an information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
27 . A method according to claim 24 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is an interrupting operation.

A method according to claim 27 , wherein, in the interruption of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is interrupted when said child print job is stored in said memory of an information processing apparatus, and, interruption of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
29 . A memory medium storing a computer-readable program for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling module for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; and an operation controlling module for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with operation instruction for the parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs.
30 . A memory medium storing a computer-readable program for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling module for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; a producing module for producing a status of a parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs on the basis of respective statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced under the control of said distributed print controlling module; and a display controlling module for displaying the status of the parent print job produced by said producing module.
31 . A program executed by an information processing apparatus for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling step for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; and an operation controlling step for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with operation instruction for the parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs.

A program according to claim 31 , further comprising a display controlling step for displaying statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced in accordance with the control of said distributed print controlling step and a status of the parent print job which is the base for the plurality of child print jobs in a distinguishable manner.
33 . A program according to claim 31 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is a deleting operation.
34 . A program according to claim 33 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of said information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
35 . A program according to claim 31 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is an interrupting operation.
36 . A program according to claim 35 , wherein, in the interruption of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is interrupted when said child print job is stored in said memory of said information processing apparatus, and, interruption of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
37 . A program according to claim 32 , wherein said display controlling step provides a user interface for recognizing the status of the parent print job.
38 . A program according to claim 37 , wherein said display controlling step displays a list of the statuses of all of the child print jobs produced from the parent print job by distributed print processing when instruction of display of the child print jobs is effected by designating the parent print job in said user interface.
39 . A program executed by an information processing apparatus for controlling distributed print, comprising:
a distributed print controlling step for controlling to produce a plurality of child print jobs for a plurality of printers from data to be printed, on the basis of inputted instruction for distributed print; a producing step for producing a status of a parent print job which is a base for the plurality of child print jobs on the basis of respective statuses of the plurality of child print jobs produced under the control of said distributed print controlling step; and a display controlling step for displaying the status of the parent print job produced by said producing step.
40 . A program according to claim 39 , further comprising an operation controlling step for controlling to similarly operate the plurality of child print jobs corresponding to the parent print job in accordance with predetermined operation instruction for the parent print job.
41 . A program according to claim 40 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is a deleting operation.
42 . A program according to claim 41 , wherein, in the deletion of the print job in said operation controlling step, the child print job in a memory is deleted when said child print job is stored in said memory of said information processing apparatus, and, deletion of the child print job is instructed to a printer when said child print job is sent to said printer.
43 . A program according to claim 40 , wherein the operation of the print job in said operation controlling step is an interrupting operation.
44 .
