Abstract
A cleaning device ( 1 ) is provided which has a squeegee ( 3 ) in a mount ( 2 ) and a stemlike handle ( 4 ) joined rotatably to the mount ( 2 ) via a pivot axis ( 14 ). The pivot axis ( 14 ) forms an acute angle (α) with a longitudinal direction of the handle ( 4 ) that deviates substantially from a right angle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A cleaning device comprising:
a mount; a squeegee that is made of an elastic material and that is retained in the mount; a stemlike handle that is joined to the mount pivotably about a pivot axis that extends perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the squeegee; wherein the pivot axis of the mount and the handle forms an acute angle with a longitudinal direction of the handle that substantially deviates from a right angle.
2 . The cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein the acute angle is approximately 15 to 75°.
3 . The cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein the acute angle is approximately 30 to 60°.
4 . The cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein the acute angle is approximately 45°.
5 . The cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein a location of the pivot axis of the mount and the handle is selected such that a geometric line of intersection of the common pivoting plane of the mount and the handle with a surface to be cleaned is located relatively close to a bearing face of the squeegee on the surface to be cleaned.
6 . The cleaning device of claim 5 , wherein the geometric line of intersection of the common pivoting plane of the mount and the handle with the surface to be cleaned is located upstream of the squeegee, in a pulling direction of the cleaning device.
7 . The cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein a location of the pivot axis of the mount and the handle is selected such that a geometric line of intersection of the common pivoting plane of the mount and the handle with a surface to be cleaned is located relatively far from a bearing face of the squeegee and upstream, in a pulling direction of the cleaning device, of the squeegee on the surface to be cleaned.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
