Abstract
A sponge holding block of a sponge mop is made of aluminium by extrusion and is formed of a main connection plate and two side plates extending downward from two sides of the main connection plate. The main connection plate is provided with a protruded portion which is in turn provided with a plurality of connection holes engageable with fastening screws.

1 . A sponge holding block of a sponge mop, said sponge holding block being made of aluminium by extrusion and having a main connection plate and two side plates extending downward from two sides of said main connection plate, said main connection plate provided with a plurality of connection through holes; wherein said main connection plate is provided with a protruded portion extending from one end thereof toward other end thereof; wherein said connection through holes penetrate said main connection plate.
2 . The sponge holding block as defined in claim 1 , wherein said protruded portion is extended from the underside of said main connection plate.
3 . The sponge holding block as defined in claim 1 , wherein said protruded portion is extended upward from the top of said main connection plate.
4 . The sponge holding block as defined in claim 1 , wherein said connection holes have a hold diameter smaller than a width of said protruded portion.
