Abstract
An assembly for receiving poured concrete including a nonmetallic form which surrounds an inner cavity and is capable of supporting poured concrete. In one particular embodiment, the assembly is composed of individual segments which are joined together to produce a rigid concrete form. The assembly is utilized as an upstanding island for location and placement of fuel dispensers.

1 . An assembly for receiving poured concrete, comprising:
a non-metallic form, said form surrounds an inner cavity, said non-metallic form capable of supporting poured concrete.
2 . The assembly of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic form contains at least one protuberance extending into said inner cavity.
3 . The assembly of claim 3 wherein said at least one protuberance is “L” shaped.
4 . The assembly of claim 4 wherein a plurality of alternately rotated “L” shaped protuberances is composed of said at least one “L” shaped protuberance.
5 . The assembly of claim 3 wherein said at least one protuberance is “L” shaped contains at least one syncline notch.
6 . The assembly of claim 3 further comprising:
said at least one protuberance containing a top and bottom surface, said top surface sloped upward and said bottom surface sloped downward relative to said non-metallic form.
7 . The assembly of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic form contains a channel.
8 . The assembly of claim 7 further comprising:
an exterior cover with tab, said tab adapted to mate with said non-metallic form channel whereby said exterior cover is removably affixed to said non-metallic form.
9 . The assembly of claim 7 further comprising:
a non-metallic band adapted to fit into said non-metallic form channel.
10 . The assembly of claim 1 further comprising:
an exterior cover removably fitting over a portion of said non-metallic form.
11 . The assembly of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by extrusion polyethylene.
12 . The assembly of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by injection molded polyethylene.
13 . The assembly of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic form is produced of rotationally molded polyethylene.
14 . An assembly for receiving poured concrete to form a base on which a fuel dispenser is disposed, comprising:
a non-metallic form, said form surrounds an inner cavity, said non-metallic form capable of containing poured concrete such that when said inner cavity is filled with poured concrete, the concrete composes a base for a fuel dispenser.
15 . The assembly of claim 14 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by extruded polyethylene.
16 . The assembly of claim 14 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by injection molded polyethylene.
17 . The assembly of claim 14 wherein said non-metallic form is produced of rotationally molded polyethylene.
18 . The assembly of claim 14 further comprising at least one protuberance extending from said non-metallic form into said inner cavity.
19 . The assembly of claim 18 wherein said at least one protuberance containing a top and bottom surface, said top surface sloped upward and said bottom surface sloped downward relative to said non-metallic form.
20 . The assembly of claim 14 further comprising:
an exterior cover removably affixed to said non-metallic form.
21 . The assembly of claim 14 further comprising:
said non-metallic dispenser island form is composed of at least a first segment and a second segment; and
means for securing said first segment to said second segment.
22 . The assembly of claim 21 further comprising:
said at least a first segment and a second segment comprises a substantially liner segment and a curved segment respectively.
23 . The assembly of claim 14 wherein said non-metallic form contains a channel.
24 . The assembly of claim 23 further comprising:
an exterior cover with tab, said tab adapted to mate with said non-metallic form channel whereby said exterior cover is removably affixed to said non-metallic form.
25 . The assembly of claim 23 further comprising:
a non-metallic band adapted to fit into said non-metallic form channel.
26 . The assembly of claim 18 wherein said at least one protuberance is “L” shaped.
27 . The assembly of claim 18 wherein a plurality of alternately rotated “L” shaped protuberances is composed of said at least one “L” shaped protuberance.
28 . The assembly of claim 18 wherein said at least one protuberance is “L” shaped contains at least one syncline (v-shaped) notch.
29 . The assembly of claim 14 further comprising:
a support disposed within said cavity and means to fasten said support to said non-metallic form.
30 . The assembly of claim 29 wherein said support is composed of metal.
31 . The assembly of claim 29 further comprising:
said at least a first and a second segments capable of fitting within a container having a sum dimension of length and height within the range of 108 inches or less.
32 . The assembly of claim 21 further comprising:
said at least a first and a second segments capable of fitting within a container having a sum dimension of circumference and height within the range of 130 inches or less.
33 . A method of producing an assembly for receiving concrete comprising the steps:
providing segments of non-metallic form; bending said segment of non-metallic form as required; and fastening together segments of non-metallic form.
34 . The method of producing an assembly for receiving concrete according to claim 33 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by extrusion molding polyethylene.
35 . The method of producing an assembly for receiving concrete according to claim 33 wherein said non-metallic form is produced by injection molded polyethylene.
36 . The method of producing an assembly for receiving concrete wherein said non-metallic form is produced by rotationally molded polyethylene.
37 . The assembly of claim 14 further comprising;
a fuel dispenser disposed on said base.
38 . The assembly of claim 1 further comprising;
an anchor affixed to said non-metallic form and disposed within said inner cavity.
