Abstract
A canopy apparatus including a canopy element having a canopy material bounded by a canopy frame. The base frame element is removably attached to an object, and a connector element allows for the removal and attachment of the canopy element to the base frame element. The canopy element extends away from the base frame and reduces the glare on a screen resulting from direct lighting, such as sunlight, reduces eye strain and provides dust protection.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
. A canopy apparatus, comprising:
a canopy element having a canopy material bounded by a canopy frame; a base frame element configured to be removably attached to an object; and a connector element configured to removably attach the canopy element to the base frame element; wherein the canopy element extends away from the base frame element and is configured to reduce glare on a screen resulting from direct lighting.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the canopy element has a concave substantially rectangular shape.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the canopy material is one of wire, mesh, fabric and plastic.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the canopy element further comprises a canopy attachment mechanism configured to secure the canopy element to the connector element.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the connector element further comprises at least one connector element orifice configured to mate with a canopy attachment mechanism.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the at least one connector element orifice is configured to rotatably accept the canopy attachment mechanism therein, thereby allowing the canopy element to rotate.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the connector element further comprises at least one threaded set screw orifice configured to accept a set screw therein, thereby further securing the canopy attachment mechanism to the connector element.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the base frame element further comprises a slide leg with two ends, each end connected to a base leg.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the connector element further comprises a slide leg orifice extending through the connector element and configured to slidably accept the slide leg therethrough, thereby allowing the connector element to slide along a first axis of movement.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the connector element is configured to rotate around the first axis of movement.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the connector element further comprises a connector set mechanism configured to releasably secure the connector element to the slide leg.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the connector element further comprises a threaded connector set mechanism orifice configured to accept the connector set mechanism therein and the connector set mechanism further comprises a threaded shaft configured to mate with the threaded connector set mechanism orifice, such that, in use, the connector set mechanism shaft is threaded through the threaded set mechanism orifice until it abuts the slide leg, thereby securing the connector element to the horizontal slide leg.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the at least one base leg further comprises an adjustable slide mechanism configured to allow the base leg to move in a second axis of movement.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the base leg is tubular and the adjustable slide mechanism comprises a hollow tubular element with an inside diameter greater than the outside diameter of the base leg, the hollow tubular element configured to slidably accept the base leg therein.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 13 , further comprising a base leg set mechanism configured to secure the base leg with respect to the adjustable slide mechanism.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the base leg set mechanism is an adjustable hand flange.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the at least one base leg terminates in a base leg attachment mechanism.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the base leg attachment mechanism is one of a screw arrangement, an adhesive, a suction cup and a rivet arrangement.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the base frame element is configured to be attachable to a base element.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 19 , wherein the base element further comprises a swivel mechanism on an underside of the base element, thereby allowing the base element to rotate.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the object is one of a table, a flat substrate, a side of a computer monitor, and a side of the television set.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the screen is one of a computer screen, a television screen and a portable projection device screen.
. The canopy apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a lighting mechanism configured to project light towards an underside of the canopy element.
. A canopy apparatus, comprising:
a canopy element having a canopy material bounded by a canopy frame; a base frame element configured to be removably attached to an object; a connector element configured to removably attach the canopy element to the base frame element; wherein the canopy element has a concave substantially rectangular shape; wherein the base frame element further comprises a slide leg with two ends, each end connected to a base leg, thereby forming an inverted U shape; wherein the connector element is configured to slide along a first axis of movement and rotate around the first axis movement; wherein the at least one base leg further comprises an adjustable slide mechanism configured to allow the base leg to move at a second axis of movement; and wherein the base frame element is configured to be attachable to the base element.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
