Abstract
An apparatus and method for changing the stakes of a game machine. A radio receiver and storage medium are associated with each game machine. They may be located within the game machine. A transmitter sends, by radio wave, a change in the stakes for the game machine. The new stakes are stored in the storage medium. The stakes are adjusted based on the new stakes value stored in the storage medium.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A monitoring device which monitors withdrawal of the storage medium storing information for the game from a game hall, the monitoring device comprising;
a monitoring device transmitter/receiver which transmits and receives by radio to and from said storage medium lying within a predetermined range, a monitoring-device controller which controls the transmission and reception of the monitoring device transmitter/receiver; and detection means for detecting the withdrawal of said storage medium from the game hall.
2 . A monitoring device as defined in claim 1 , wherein said detection means sends a monitor signal from said monitoring device transmitter/receiver, and detects the withdrawal from the game hall when a response signal from said storage medium has been received.
3 . A monitoring device as defined in claim 1 , further including output means for giving a warning when the withdrawal of said storage medium from the game hall has been detected by said detection means.
4 . A monitoring device as defined in claim 1 , further including a door controller which is arranged at an entrance and exit of the game hall, and which controls opening and shutting of a door at the entrance and exit; and
that said door controller shuts the door when the withdrawal of said storage medium from the game hall has been detected by said detection means.
5 . An apparatus comprising:
a game machine; a storage medium within the game machine, the storage medium for storing the stakes of the machine; an adjustment device for adjusting the stakes of the game machine, based on information stored on the storage medium; and a radio receiver within the game machine, the radio receiver being coupled to the storage medium for transferring to the storage medium information regarding the stakes to be stored in the storage medium for the game machine.
6 . A method of changing the stakes in a gaming machine, comprising:
storing the stakes of a game machine within a storage medium; transmitting, by radio, a change in the stakes to new stakes from a transmitter to a receiver; storing the new stakes in the storage medium; and changing the stakes for the game machine based on the new stakes in the storage medium.
7 . The method according to claim 6 wherein the storage medium is within the game machine.
8 . The method according to claim 7 wherein the receiver is within the game machine.Cited by (0)
