Semi-moist animal food product

Abstract

Semiwet feed product with a wrapping coating applied by a vacuum coating method, process for the manufacture of such a product, method for packaging the same and product packed using said method.

1 . Feed product having an final moisture content of 17 to 22%, characterized in that it has a wrapping coating applied by a vacuum coating method.  
     
     
         2 . Feed product according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the wrapping coating contains fat.  
     
     
         3 . Feed product according to  claim 1  or  2 , characterized in that the wrapping coating contains further nutrients and/or supplements.  
     
     
         4 . Feed product according to  claim 3 , characterized in that the fat-containing wrapping coating contains a trace element mixture.  
     
     
         5 . Process for production of a feed product having a final moisture content of 17 to 22%, characterized in that the product pieces extruded, cut and optionally dried to the desired moisture content in the conventional manner are provided in a vacuum coating method with a wrapping coating.  
     
     
         6 . Feed product according to  claim 5 , characterized in that the wrapping coating contains fat.  
     
     
         7 . Feed product according to  claim 5 , characterized in that the wrapping coating contains further nutrients and/or supplements.  
     
     
         8 . Feed product according to  claim 5 , characterized in that the fat-containing wrapping coating contains a trace element mixture.  
     
     
         9 . Method for the packaging of a semiwet feed product according to one of the  claims 1  to  4  or manufactured according to one of the  claims 5  to  8 , characterized in that in per se known manner the product is introduced into a plastic bag pack and prior to the final sealing of the packs is compressed and shaped by exerting pressure on the product.
