Abstract
OSD data YD includes a color designating signal As and a color changing signal Ex. When a color register number is designated by the color designating signal As, a color storage unit 41 outputs an appropriate color signal. A Y signal is branched from the outputted color signal and subjected to a modulating process by the color changing signal Ex. The Y changing signal obtained by the modulating process is merged with a Cb signal and a Cr signal so as to form new color signal. The OSD data YD with changed color is subjected to a synthesizing process with image data XD according to the predetermined mixture ratio.

1 . A color signal generating circuit, wherein a video digital signal inputted to said circuit includes:
a color designating signal for designating a basic color; and a color changing signal for making a change in the basic color, and said circuit comprises:
a) means for storing color signals corresponding to types of colors which can be designated by said color designating signal in color signal storing means, and for outputting a color signal corresponding to said color designating signal upon input of said color designating signal included in said video digital signal;
b) means for outputting a specific component changing signal by applying a predetermined calculating process for making said color changing signal operate to a signal of a specific color separation component (hereinafter, referred to as specific component signal) included in said color signal outputted by said means a); and
c) means for forming a new color signal from said specific component changing signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal.
2 . The color signal generating circuit according to claim 1 , further comprising:
d) means for inputting said video digital signal as a short bit signal which includes said color designating signal but does not include said color changing signal, wherein said means b) includes:
b-1) means for outputting said specific component signal as it is when said video digital signal is a short bit signal, and
said means c) includes:
c-1) means for reconstructing said color signal from said specific component signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal when said video digital signal is a short bit signal.
3 . The color signal generating circuit according to claim 1 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal and Cr signal as said color signals, and said specific component signal is the Y signal.
4 . A color signal synthesizing circuit for synthesizing a first video digital signal and second video digital signal, wherein
the second video digital signal inputted to said circuit includes:
a color designating signal for designating a basic color; and
a color changing signal for making a change in the basic color, and
said circuit comprises:
a) means for storing color signals corresponding to types of colors which can be designated by said color designating signal in color signal storing means, and for outputting a color signal corresponding to said color designating signal upon input of said color designating signal included in said second video digital signal;
b) means for outputting a specific component changing signal by applying a predetermined calculating process for making said color changing signal operate to a signal of a specific color separation component (hereinafter, referred to as specific component signal) included in said color signal outputted by said means a);
c) means for outputting a new color signal from said specific component changing signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal; and
d) means for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing the color expressed by said first video digital signal and the color expressed by said new color signal on the basis of a mixture ratio determining signal assigned to each color signal stored in said color signal storing means.
5 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 4 , further comprising:
e) means for inputting said second video digital signal as a short bit signal which includes said color designating signal but does not include said color changing signal, wherein said means b) includes:
b-1) means for outputting said specific component signal as it is when said second video digital signal is a short bit signal,
said means c) includes:
c-1) means for reconstructing said color signal from said specific component signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal when said second video digital signal is a short bit signal, and
said means d) includes:
d-1) means for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing a color expressed by said first video digital signal and said color signal reconstructed by said means c-1) on the basis of said mixture ratio determining signals when said second video digital signal is a short bit signal.
6 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 4 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal and Cr signal as said color signals, and said specific component signal is the Y signal.
7 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 4 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores the Y signal, Cb signal, Cr signal and said mixture ratio determining signal, and said specific component signal is the Y signal.
8 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 4 , wherein
said first video digital signal is a video signal taken by a digital camera, and said second video digital signal is an auxiliary information signal to be overlaid on said taken video signal.
9 . A color signal synthesizing circuit for synthesizing a first video digital signal and second video digital signal, wherein
the second video digital signal inputted to said circuit includes:
a color designating signal for designating a color; and
a signal for designating a mixture ratio (hereinafter, referred to as mixture ratio designating signal),
said circuit comprises:
a) means for storing color signals corresponding to types of colors which can be designated by said color designating signal in color signal storing means, and for outputting a color signal corresponding to said color designating signal upon input of said color designating signal included in said second video digital signal; and
b) means for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing the color expressed by said first video digital signal and the color expressed by said color signal on the basis of said mixture ratio designating signal.
10 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 9 , wherein
said color signal storing means further stores a signal for determining the mixture ratio between said first video digital signal and said second video digital signal for each color signal (hereinafter, referred to as mixture ratio determining signal), said circuit further comprises:
c) means for inputting said second video digital signal as a short bit signal which includes said color designating signal but does not include said mixture ratio designating signal,
said means b) includes:
b-1) means for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing the color expressed by said first video digital signal and the color expressed by said color signal on the basis of said mixture ratio determining signal when said second video digital signal is a short bit signal.
11 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 9 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal and Cr signal as said color signals.
12 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 10 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal, Cr signal, and said mixture ratio determining signal.
13 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 9 , wherein
said first video digital signal is a video signal taken by a digital camera, and said second video digital signal is an auxiliary information signal to be overlaid on said taken video signal.
14 . A color signal synthesizing circuit for synthesizing a first video digital signal and second video digital signal, wherein
the second video digital signal inputted to said circuit includes one of:
A) a color designating signal for designating a color and a color changing signal for making a change to the color designated by said color designating signal;
B) a color designating signal for designating a color and a mixture ratio designating signal for designating the mixture ratio between the first and second video digital signals; and
C) a color designating signal for designating a color,
said circuit comprises:
a) means for storing color signals corresponding to types of colors which can be designated by said color designating signal in color signal storing means, and for outputting a color signal corresponding to said color designating signal upon input of said color designating signal included in said A), B) and C);
b) means for outputting a specific component changing signal by applying a predetermined calculating process for making said color changing signal operate to a signal of a specific color separation component (hereinafter, referred to as specific component signal) included in said color signal outputted by said means a), in the case where said second video digital signal is said A), and for outputting said specific component signal as it is, in the case where said second video digital signal is said B) or C);
c) means for outputting a new color signal from said specific component changing signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal, in the case where said second video digital signal is said A), and for reconstructing said color signal from said specific component signal and the signal of the color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal, thereby outputting said color signal outputted from said color signal storing means as it is, in the case where said second video digital signal is said B) or C); and
d) means for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing the color expressed by said first video digital signal and the color expressed by a signal of a color outputted from said means c) on the basis of a mixture ratio determining signal assigned to each color signal stored in said color signal storing means, in the case where said second video digital signal is said A) or C), and for outputting a synthesized color signal obtained by synthesizing the color expressed by said first video digital signal and the color expressed by a signal of a color outputted from said means c) on the basis of the mixture ratio designating signal included in said second video digital signal, in the case where the second video digital signal is said B).
15 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 14 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal and Cr signal as said color signals, and said specific component signal is the Y signal.
16 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 14 , wherein
said color signal storing means stores a Y signal, Cb signal, Cr signal and said mixture ratio determining signal, and said specific component signal is the Y signal.
17 . The color signal synthesizing circuit according to claim 14 , wherein
said first video digital signal is a video signal taken by a digital camera, and said second video digital signal is an auxiliary information signal to be overlaid on said taken video signal.
18 . A color signal generating method comprising the steps of:
a) previously storing color signals corresponding to types of colors which can be designated by a color designating signal included in a video digital signal to be inputted which includes said color designating signal for designating a basic color and a color changing signal for making a change to the basic color; b) inputting said video digital signal; c) acquiring a color signal corresponding to said color designating signal included in said inputted video digital signal from color signals stored in said step a); d) outputting a specific component changing signal by applying a predetermined calculating process for making said color changing signal operate to a signal of a specific color separation component included in the color signal acquired by said step c); and e) forming a new color signal from said specific component changing signal and a signal of a color separation component other than said specific color separation component included in said color signal.Cited by (0)
