Abstract
A die is used for selecting one out of a number of competitors in a sporting event. The die has a plurality of faces at least some of which have markings representative of the competitors. The die provides a random choice of which of those entities is to selected depending upon positioning of the markings after rolling of the die.

exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1 . A selector die for use in a sporting event in which a plurality of competitors compete against one another, said die having die faces with markings representative of the competitors, the die providing a random choice of which of the competitors is to be selected depending upon positioning of the markings after rolling of the die.
2 . A die as claimed in claim 1 wherein only some of the faces of the die are provided with said markings and others of the faces of said die provide advertising space.
3 . A die as claimed in claim 1 when used for selecting one of two competitors playing one another and wherein the markings representative of the competitors include a home team marking, an away team marking, a favorite team marking and an underdog (dog) team marking.
4 . A die as claimed in claim 3 wherein said home team marking is indicated by the letter H, the away team marking is indicated by the letter A, the favorite team marking is indicated by the letter F and the underdog (dog) team marking is indicated by the letter D.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
