Abstract
This perdurable composite cylinder methodology allows for the inclusion of load cushioning or shock absorbing at the primary site of the generation of the disturbance. This is accomplished because the core to covering interference fit of the composite cylinder form a perdurable mechanical bond between the two parts and the bond is of a different resiliency at different sections of the resultant cylinder assembly. This feature can be used to provide cushioning capability in the rollers for applications where none was present heretofore. This feature may also function to augment or eliminate existing auxiliary shock absorbing mechanisms.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat I claim as my invention is:
1 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with a rigid nylon or equivalent core (A), with provisions for the mounting of anti-friction ball bearings (H).
2 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with a dual function initial obstruction (F), for the flexible polyurethane or equivalent tubing (B), that provides initial guidance for the flexible outer shell (B), and also serves as a back stop when the flexible outer shell has reached its' final longitudinal core position (G).
3 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with a permanent rigid core barricade (G), at the termination point of the outer flexible shell (B).
4 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with a series of rigid core diametral concave grooves (C), (E), to accommodate the natural stress relieving of the material of the flexible polyurethane or equivalent tube (B).
5 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with rigid core diametral convex peaks (J), (D), that provide a mechanical interference fit of progressively diminishing intensity for the flexible outer shell (B).
6 . A perdurable composite roller skating cylinder with a nylon or equivalent core (A), that has a flexible outer shell of polyurethane or equivalent tubing (B), that is inextricability bound by interference fit on three levels, that of complex diametral mechanical interference of diminishing longitudinal intensity, with positive physical obstacles at the longitudinal termination points (L), of the flexible outer shell (F), (G), and diametral concave core grooves (C), (E), for the natural stress relieving of the material of the outer shell (B).Cited by (0)
