Method and system for obtaining service information about one or more building sites

Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for displaying service and maintenance information for a plurality of building sites online. A customer web portal is provided with a database for storing service information for a plurality of building sites. The web portal provides an efficient way of determining the service activity for a plurality of building sites without the need for maintaining service related information at individual building sites. The present invention allows a user to obtain service information organized by building site, call status and system.

We claim:  
     
         1 . A computer implemented method for displaying information relating to service activity for a plurality of building sites: 
 providing a web portal comprising a database, and storing service related information about a plurality of building sites in said database;    receiving a user request from one or more clients to display said information for a plurality of building sites the user is authorized to view;    determining a plurality of service activities that are implicated by said request;    displaying said information on a client display.    
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising receiving a request from a client to display further information about an individual service activity; and displaying further information on said client display.  
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said information further comprises information relating to the type of service activity being provided.  
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said information further comprises information about the type of system a service activity is being provided for.  
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said information further comprises information about the status of a service activity.  
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said information further comprises information about the call type of a service activity  
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said information further comprises information about a plurality of sites in which service activity is being performed  
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising receiving a user request from a client to obtain further information about an individual site and displaying said further information on said client display.  
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising receiving a request from a client to display information about an individual service order, and displaying said individual service order information on said client display.  
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said display of service related information is organized by site.  
     
     
         11 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said display of service related information is organized by system.  
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein said display of service related information is organized by type of service.
