Abstract

The invention provides the nucleic acid and amino acid sequences of a novel human tumor-associated antigen, placenta derived apoptotic factor (PDAF), and the use of these sequences in the treatment of disorders associated with immune and cell proliferation.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An isolated nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide or a degenerate sequences thereof, wherein the polypeptide is the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.

2 . An isolated nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide or a degenerate sequences thereof, wherein the polypeptide is the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2.

3 . An isolated nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide or a degenerate sequences thereof, wherein the polypeptide is the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3.

4 . The isolated nucleic acid as claimed in claim 1 , which is SEQ ID NO:4.

5 . The isolated nucleic acid as claimed in claim 2 , which is SEQ ID NO:5.

6 . The isolated nucleic acid as claimed in claim 3 , which is SEQ ID NO:6.

7 . An expression vector containing the nucleic acid sequences as claimed in claim 1 .

8 . An expression vector containing the nucleic acid sequences as claimed in claim 2 .

9 . An expression vector containing the nucleic acid sequences as claimed in claim 3 .

         10 . A host cell containing the vector of claim 7 .

         11 . A host cell containing the vector of claim 8 .

         12 . A host cell containing the vector of claim 9 .

13 . A method for producing a polypeptide that contains the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, the method comprising the steps of:
 (a) culturing the host cell of claim 10 under conditions suitable for the expression of the polypeptide; and (b) recovering the polypeptide from the host cell culture.

14 . A method for producing a polypeptide that contains the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, the method comprising the steps of:
 (a) culturing the host cell of claim 11 under conditions suitable for the expression of the polypeptide; and (b) recovering the polypeptide from the host cell culture.

15 . A method for producing a polypeptide that contains the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3, the method comprising the steps of:
 (a) culturing the host cell of claim 12 under conditions suitable for the expression of the polypeptide; and (b) recovering the polypeptide from the host cell culture.

16 . A transgenic animal, which is introduced with a gene fragment containing the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4.

17 . A transgenic animal, which is introduced with a gene fragment containing the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5.

18 . A transgenic animal, which is introduced with a gene fragment containing the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:6.
