Abstract
A golf tee having a head portion for use in supporting a golf ball and a stem portion for use in supporting the golf tee into the ground is provided. The stem portion has at least a first mark for indicating the distance between the head portion and the ground surface. Preferably, a plurality of equally spaced and colored bands is positioned along the longitude of the stem portion.

1 . A golf tee comprising:
a head portion for use in supporting an associated golf ball; and, a stem portion for use in supporting the golf tee into the ground, the stem portion comprising a marking means for use in indicating the distance between the head portion and the ground surface.
2 . The golf tee of claim 1 wherein the marking means comprises a plurality of bands along the longitude of the stem.
