Abstract
The present invention relates to an outdoor cushion with a non-slip material that is applied to less than the entire underside of the cushion. The non-slip material may also be resistant to UV degradation. Methods of manufacturing such a cushion are also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A cushion comprising an underside that includes a non-slip material applied to less than the entire area of the underside.
2 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the area of applied non-slip material is one contiguous area.
3 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the area of applied non-slip material is a pattern of regions of non-slip material.
4 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the non-slip material is screen printed onto the underside.
5 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the non-slip material is sprayed onto the underside.
6 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the non-slip material is rubber.
7 . The cushion of claim 1 , wherein the non-slip material is resistant to UV degradation.
8 . A method of manufacturing a cushion for furniture, comprising:
applying a non-slip material to an area of an underside of a cushion that is less than the entire area of the underside; and curing the non-slip material.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the applying step further includes spraying the non-slip material onto the underside.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the spraying step includes spraying the non-slip material in one contiguous area.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the spraying step includes spraying the non-slip material in a pattern of regions.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the applying step further includes screen printing the non-slip material onto the underside.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the screen printing step includes screen printing the non-slip material in one contiguous area.
14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the screen printing step includes screen printing the non-slip material in a pattern of regions.
15 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the non-slip material is resistant to UV degradation.
16 . A method of manufacturing a cushion for outdoor furniture, comprising:
screen printing a non-slip material to an area of a panel adapted to be used as an underside of a cushion, wherein the area is less than the entire area of the underside; and curing the non-slip material.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the non-slip material is screen printed in one contiguous area.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the non-slip material is screen printed in a pattern of regions.
19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the screen printing takes place after the underside has been incorporated into a cushion.
20 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the non-slip material is resistant to UV degradation.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
