Multi-compartment insulated beverage container

Abstract

An insulated container made of elastomeric, insulated material is provided having a body portion and an opening defining a first insulated container compartment to receive a drink container and at least one additional container compartment sharing a common wall with the first insulated container compartment to house miscellaneous items, including but not limited to, cigarettes, matches, and keys. In another embodiment a third container compartment is provided to also house additional miscellaneous items.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A multi-compartment insulated container comprising: 
 a container body portion comprising a first wall made of insulating material defining a first hollow compartment having a first opening to receive a drink container, and    at least one second wall defining with a portion of said first wall a second compartment sharing a common wall with said second compartment having at least one second opening to house miscellaneous items, including but not limited to, cigarettes, matches, and keys.    
     
     
         2 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 1  comprising at least one third wall defining with a portion of one of said first wall and said second wall a third compartment having at least one third opening adapted to house miscellaneous items, including but not limited to, cigarettes, matches, and keys.  
     
     
         3 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 2  comprising at least one third wall defining with a portion of one of said first wall a third compartment having at least one third opening adapted to house miscellaneous items, including but not limited to, cigarettes, matches, and keys.  
     
     
         4 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 2  comprising at least one third wall defining with a portion of said second wall a third compartment having at least one third opening adapted to house miscellaneous items, including but not limited to, cigarettes, matches, and keys.  
     
     
         5 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 1  wherein said first and second compartments are made of elastomeric, insulated material.  
     
     
         6 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 3  wherein said first, second and third compartments are made of elastomeric, insulated material.  
     
     
         7 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 4  wherein said first, second and third compartments are made of elastomeric, insulated material.  
     
     
         8 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 5  wherein said elastomeric, insulated material comprises a material selected from natural and synthetic foam rubber material.  
     
     
         9 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 6  wherein said elastomeric, insulated material comprises a material selected from natural and synthetic foam rubber material.  
     
     
         10 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 7  wherein said elastomeric, insulated material comprises a material selected from natural and synthetic foam rubber material.  
     
     
         11 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 5  wherein said second compartment is generally rectangular on the remaining sides including laterally spaced vertical walls and a vertical transverse wall joining said laterally spaced vertical walls walls to define said second compartment.  
     
     
         12 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 6  wherein said third compartment is generally rectangular including laterally spaced vertical walls and a vertical transverse wall joining said laterally spaced vertical walls walls to define said third compartment.  
     
     
         13 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 7  wherein said third compartment is generally rectangular including laterally spaced vertical walls and a vertical transverse wall joining said laterally spaced vertical walls walls to define said third compartment.  
     
     
         14 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 11  wherein a container bottom is provided.  
     
     
         15 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 12  wherein a container bottom is provided.  
     
     
         16 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 13  wherein a container bottom is provided.  
     
     
         17 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 14  wherein said container bottom includes at least one drain hole.  
     
     
         18 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 15  wherein said container bottom includes at least one drain hole.  
     
     
         19 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 16  wherein said container bottom includes at least one drain hole.  
     
     
         20 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 14  wherein a name or advertisement is applied to the external surface of one of the compartments.  
     
     
         21 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 15  wherein a name or advertisement is applied to the external surface of one of the compartments.  
     
     
         22 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 16  wherein a name or advertisement is applied to the external surface of one of the compartments.  
     
     
         23 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 15  wherein said third compartment is shorter than than the said second compartment.  
     
     
         24 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 23  wherein said third compartment extends a shorter distance transversly than said second compartment.  
     
     
         25 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 16  wherein said third compartment is shorter than than the said second compartment.  
     
     
         26 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 25  wherein said third compartment extends a shorter distance transversly than said second compartment.  
     
     
         27 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 17  wherein said third compartment is shorter than than the said second compartment.  
     
     
         28 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 27  wherein said third compartment extends a shorter distance transversly than said second compartment.  
     
     
         29 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 26  wherein said first compartment extends from 3 to 4 inches in diameter has a wall thichness and bottom thickness of one-fourth to three-fourth inches thick.  
     
     
         30 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 29  wherein said second compartment compartment extends outwardly from about one to two inches.  
     
     
         31 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 30  wherein said second compartment extends from 2.5 to 4 inches in length.  
     
     
         32 . A multi-compartment insulated container according to  claim 30  wherein said third compartment is shorter, 1 to 3 inches than the first additional compartment, and extends a shorter distance transversly 1.5 to 2.5 inches than said second compartment.
