Slot car racing toy with manual speed control

Abstract

A slot car racing toy features toy cars that engage a slot formed on a track and through which slot they pick up electrical power. The electrical power supplied to the slot is generated by a manually-driven electrical generating means which also supplies the power to a sound effects unit.

A slot car toy comprising a track having at least one slot and at least one toy car adapted to engage said slot and run on said track, wherein said toy car is adapted to receive electrical power from said slot and wherein manually driven electrical power generating means is provided for supplying electrical power to said slot.  
     
     
         2 . A slot car toy as claimed in  claim 1  wherein said electrical power generating means comprises a hand-operated generator.  
     
     
         3 . A slot car toy as claimed in  claim 1  wherein said electrical power generating means comprises a foot-operated generator.  
     
     
         4 . A slot car toy as claimed in  claim 1  wherein said electrical power generating means comprises a treadmill-operated generator.  
     
     
         5 . A slot car toy as claimed in  claim 1  comprising a plurality of tracks and wherein respective manually driven electrical power generating means are provided associated with each said track.  
     
     
         6 . A slot car toy as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising a sound generating means powered by said manually driven electrical power generating means.
