Abstract

A chair includes a lower block and a hollow upper block installed on the lower block. The hollow upper block includes a seat, a backrest and two armrests formed together with one another. The hollow upper block is made of an adequate size so as to be strong in structure. The hollow upper block requires only a little material so as to be light in weight.

1 . A chair comprising a lower block and a hollow upper block installed on the lower block, the hollow upper block including a seat, a backrest and two armrests formed together with one another.  
     
     
         2 . The chair according to  claim 1  wherein the hollow upper block is made via blow molding.  
     
     
         3 . The chair according to  claim 1  wherein the seat includes a plurality of enforcement ribs formed thereon.  
     
     
         4 . The chair according to  claim 1  wherein the backrest includes a plurality of enforcement ribs formed thereon.  
     
     
         5 . The chair according to  claim 1  wherein the backrest includes a lower member formed on the seat and an upper member installed on the lower member.  
     
     
         6 . The chair according to  claim 5  wherein one of the members of the backrest includes a dovetail groove, and the other of the members of the backrest includes a dovetail inserted in the dovetail groove, thus connecting the upper member of the backrest with the lower member of the backrest.  
     
     
         7 . The chair according to  claim 6  wherein the lower member of the backrest includes a dovetail groove, and the upper member of the backrest includes a dovetail inserted in the dovetail groove.  
     
     
         8 . The chair according to  claim 7  including adhesive provided between the upper member of the backrest and the lower member of the backrest, thus securing the upper member of the backrest to the lower member of the backrest.  
     
     
         9 . The chair according to  claim 1  wherein the lower block includes a base for installment on the ground and a post installed on the base.  
     
     
         10 . The chair according to  claim 9  wherein the post is telescopic.  
     
     
         11 . The chair according to  claim 10  wherein the lower block includes a control device connected with the telescopic post for control over the extending and shrinking of the telescopic post.
