Abstract

A trash bag support structure has an annular member for supporting the trash bag in open condition and a resilient annular clamp hoop arranged to surround the annular member circumferentially. A marginal portion of the trash bag is interposed between the annular member and the resilient annular clamp hoop, and a tension latch arrangement applies a circumferential tension force to the resilient annular clamp, thereby urging same against the trash bag and the annular member. The tension latch arrangement is provided with a resilient latching element and is disposed in the vicinity of a fixation point where a support arrangement is coupled to the annular member and the resilient annular clamp. A support arrangement is adapted to couple to existing structure in an outdoor event environment, and there is further provided a locking arrangement for preventing unauthorized decoupling of the support arrangement from the existing structure of the outdoor event environment, such as a railing or a back board member of a park bench. A stanchion couples securely to the coupler portion and is insertable into the ground, whereby the trash bag support is supported securely in an upright manner independent of preexisting structure.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A trash bag support structure comprising:
an annular member for supporting the trash bag in open condition; a resilient annular clamp arranged to surround said annular member circumferentially, a marginal portion of the trash bag being interposed between said annular member and said resilient annular clamp; and a tension latch arrangement for applying a tension force to said resilient annular clamp and urging same against said annular member.

2 . The trash bag support structure of claim 1 , wherein said tension latch arrangement comprises a resilient latching element.

3 . The trash bag support structure of claim 1 , wherein said annular member and said resilient annular clamp are fixedly coupled to one another at a predetermined fixation point.

4 . The trash bag support structure of claim 3 , wherein said tension latching arrangement is disposed in the vicinity of the predetermined fixation point.

5 . The trash bag support structure of claim 3 , wherein there is further provided a support arrangement coupled to said annular member and said resilient annular clamp in the vicinity of the predetermined fixation point.

6 . The trash bag support structure of claim 5 , wherein said support arrangement is adapted to couple to existing structure in an outdoor event environment, and there is further provided a locking arrangement for preventing unauthorized decoupling of said support arrangement from the existing structure of the outdoor event environment.

7 . The trash bag support structure of claim 6 , wherein said support arrangement comprises a coupler portion adapted to couple to an existing park bench by overlying a back board member of the existing park bench.

8 . The trash bag support structure of claim 7 , wherein said locking arrangement comprises a locking element that engages said coupler portion and the back board member of the existing park bench simultaneously to prevent the unauthorized decoupling.

9 . The trash bag support structure of claim 6 , wherein said support arrangement comprises a coupler portion adapted to couple to a horizontal member of a preexisting railing system.

10 . The trash bag support structure of claim 9 , wherein said locking arrangement comprises a locking element that engages said coupler portion and the back board member of the horizontal member of the preexisting railing system simultaneously to prevent the unauthorized decoupling.

11 . The trash bag support structure of claim 6 , wherein said support arrangement comprises a coupler portion adapted to couple to a stanchion support member.

12 . The trash bag support structure of claim 11 , wherein said locking arrangement comprises a locking element that engages said coupler portion and the stanchion support member simultaneously to prevent the unauthorized decoupling.

13 . The trash bag support structure of claim 11 , wherein said stanchion support member is provided with a pointed portion for entering the ground and being supported upright thereby.
