Fashion doll stand

Abstract

A fashion doll stand for single-legged support of a fashion doll comprising a Shaped Base having a flush underside with a center of gravity, and a hollow Tapered Support joined perpendicular to said Shaped Base through the center of gravity. The single-legged doll stand does not clamp or clip the leg of the doll in any way, but simply allows free insertion/removal of one leg or the other to provide a full range of posability of the fashion doll in a supported position. It also ensures sturdy two point support: 1) full orthogonal support around the mid-to-upper calf; and 2) lateral stabilization support at the ball of the foot; thereby providing excellent lateral, horizontal and rotational stability for the fashion doll in a variety of upright positions.

I claim:  
     
         1 . An improved fashion doll stand, for single-legged support of popular posable fashion dolls, said improved fashion doll stand comprising: 
 a shaped base having a center of gravity; and    a leg support comprising a hollow contoured sleeve conforming to a leg of said doll, said leg support being defined by a frontal opening to bare the leg, an annular collar above said frontal opening for supporting a calf of said doll, and a lower recess beneath said frontal opening for seating a ball of said doll's foot, said leg support being attached beneath said frontal opening to said shaped base perpendicularly through said center of gravity;    whereby said fashion doll stand provides sturdy two-point support around said calf and at the ball of said foot for lateral, horizontal and rotational stability.    
     
     
         2 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein the annular collar of said leg support comprises a 360-degree collar for intimate surface contact with the calf of the leg of said fashion doll.  
     
     
         3 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein said frontal opening of said leg support provides an unobstructed frontal view of a length of said doll leg.  
     
     
         4 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein the shaped base and leg support are integrally molded in one piece of a molded plastic.  
     
     
         5 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein the shaped base and leg support are integrally molded of transparent plastic.  
     
     
         6 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein the shaped base is formed separately from the leg support, and is defined by a socket for press-fit insertion of said leg support.  
     
     
         7 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein the shaped base is formed separately from the leg support from a concave section of pliable material having a central hole, and said leg support is formed with a horizontal platform, the shaped base being insertable via said hole over the leg support until seated atop said horizontal platform.  
     
     
         8 . The improved fashion doll stand according to  claim 1 , wherein a fashion doll correctly mounted by a user, maintains mechanical equilibrium and orthogonal stability in a variety of upright positions because the center of gravity of said combination is maintained on a vertical line that passes through the center of gravity of said stand.  
     
     
         9 . A wall rack for securing multiple doll stands to a wall or counter surface, comprising: 
 a horizontal bracket secured to a surface and formed with a plurality of contour recesses, and a corresponding plurality of shelf members each seated against a recess and secured to the horizontal bracket, each shelf member being equipped with an upwardly protruding stem for anchoring a corresponding doll stand thereto.
