Abstract

Protective headguard comprising overlapped inner and outer layers attached so as to permit frictional sliding of at least one area of the outer layer over the inner layer.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

. A protective headguard, comprising overlapped inner and outer layers attached so as to permit frictional sliding of at least one area of the outer layer over the inner layer.

. A protective headguard, comprising overlapped inner, intermediate and outer layers attached so as to permit frictional sliding of at least one area of the outer layer over the intermediate layer.

. A protective headguard, comprising (i) overlapped inner and outer layers, and (ii) a flowable material intermediate the layers, wherein (iii) the inner and outer layers are attached so as to permit sliding of at least one area of the outer layer relative to the inner layer subject to drag exerted by the flowable material.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the flowable material is solid particulates.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the flowable material is a gel.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the flowable material is a liquid.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the flowable material is a gas.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the inner and outer layers are biased towards a standard position relative to one another.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the inner and outer layers are biased towards a standard position relative to one another.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the inner and outer layers are biased towards a standard position relative to one another.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the inner and outer layers are attached by elastic material.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the inner and outer layers are attached by elastic material.

. The protective headguard of claim 3 wherein the inner and outer layers are attached by elastic material.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the inner layer is elastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the inner layer is inelastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the outer layer is elastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the outer layer is inelastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the inner layer is elastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the inner layer is inelastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the outer layer is elastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 2 wherein the outer layer is inelastic.

. The protective headguard of claim 1 wherein the inner and outer layers each have an interfacing major surface and at least one of the interfacing surfaces has a rough texture.
