Apparatus for recording and reproducing information and information reproducing method

Abstract

Disclosed is an apparatus for recording and reproducing information and an information reproducing method in which the reproducing operation can be restarted from a position where reproduction was interrupted. The restart is possible for all of information contents recorded on a recording medium and without the need of troublesome operations. For this purpose, reproduction history information representing a reproduction history of each of the information contents recorded on the recording medium is stored in a management memory.

         23 . An information recording and reproducing apparatus, comprising: 
 a reproduction part for reproducing one of a plurality of recorded information contents;    a reproduction history information generating part for generating reproduction history information representing a reproduction history of each of the recorded information contents;    a management memory for storing the reproduction history information correspondingly to each of the information contents;    a display control part for displaying an information contents selection image listing the plurality of information contents such that one of listed plurality of information contents can be selected; and    a reproduction control part for controlling the reproduction part such that when one of the listed plurality of information contents is selected, the reproduction part reproduces the selected information contents based on the reproduction history information stored in the management memory.    
     
     
         24 . The apparatus according to  claim 23 , wherein the management memory stores the reproduction history information with a contents ID, a title of the information content, and a recording area address.  
     
     
         25 . An information recording and reproducing apparatus, comprising: 
 a reproduction means for reproducing one of a plurality of recorded information contents;    a reproduction history information generating means for generating reproduction history information representing a reproduction history of each of the recorded information contents;    a management memory means for storing the reproduction history information correspondingly to each of the information contents;    a display control means for displaying an information contents selection image listing the plurality of information contents such that one of listed plurality of information contents can be selected; and    a reproduction control means for controlling the reproduction means such that when one of the listed plurality of information contents is selected, the reproduction means reproduces the selected information contents based on the reproduction history information stored in the management memory means.    
     
     
         26 . The apparatus according to  claim 25 , wherein the management memory means stores the reproduction history information with a contents ID, a title of the information content, and a recording area address.
