Sofa cover tailoring procedure

Abstract

A sofa cover tailoring procedure includes the steps of (a) preparing a main cover cloth member and marking turning points of each curved lateral side of the main cover cloth with marks A;B;B 1 ;C;D;E; b), (b) preparing two symmetrical side cover cloth members and marking turning points of the curved border line of each side cover cloth members with marks a;b;b 1 ;c;d 2 ;d 1 ;e;f;g;h; and (c) stitching segment ABB 1 of the main cover cloth member to segment abb 1 of each side cover cloth member, then stitching segment B 1 C of the main cover cloth member to segment b 1 c of each side cover cloth member, and then stitching turning points d 1 and d 2 of each side cover cloth member together, and then stitching segment CD of the main cover cloth member to segment cd 1 (d 2 ) of each side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment DE of the main cover cloth member 10 to segment d 1 ( de ) e of each side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment gf of each side cover cloth member to segment gh of the respective side cover cloth member, leaving an opening in the bottom side of the cover, and then fastening an elastic band to the periphery of the opening.

1 . A sofa cover tailoring procedure adapted to tailor a sofa cover for a sofa having two armrests, the sofa cover tailoring procedure comprising the steps of: 
 a) cutting a piece of cloth into a main cover cloth member having two opposite lateral sides symmetrically curved subject to the contour of the sofa, and then marking turning points of each of two opposite symmetrically curved lateral sides of said main cover cloth member respectively with marks A;B;B 1 ;C;D;E;    b) cutting a piece of cloth into two side cover cloth members having the respective total contour line greater than the contour line of each lateral side of the sofa, and then marking turning points of curved border line of said side cover cloth members respectively with marks a;b;b 1 ;c;d 2 ;d 1 ;e;f;g;h; and    c) stitching segment ABB 1  of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment abb 1  of each said side cover cloth member, then stitching segment B 1 C of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment b 1   c  of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching turning points d 1  and d 2  of each said side cover cloth member together, and then stitching segment CD of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment cd  1 (d 2 ) of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment DE of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member  10  to segment d 1 ( de ) e  of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment gf of each said side cover cloth member to segment gh of the respective side cover cloth member, leaving an opening in the bottom side of the cover.    
   
   
       2 . The sofa cover tailoring procedure as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said main cover cloth member have top and bottom sides respectively curved outwards.  
   
   
       3 . The sofa cover tailoring procedure as claimed in  claim 2 , further comprising step d) fastening an elastic band to the border of said opening with stitches.  
   
   
       4 . A sofa cover tailoring procedure adapted to tailor a sofa cover for a sofa having the back and armrests thereof made at an equal height, the sofa cover tailoring procedure comprising the steps of: 
 a) cutting a piece of cloth into a main cover cloth member having two opposite lateral sides symmetrically curved subject to the contour of the sofa, and then marking turning points of each of two opposite symmetrically curved lateral sides of said main cover cloth member respectively with marks A;B;B 1 ;C;D;E;    b) cutting a piece of cloth into two side cover cloth members having the respective total contour line greater than the contour line of each lateral side of the sofa, and then marking turning points of curved border line of said side cover cloth members respectively with marks a;b;c;d;e;f;g;h; and    c) stitching segment AB of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment ab of each said side cover cloth member, then stitching segment BC of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment bc of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching turning points CD of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment cd of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment DE of each of the two opposite lateral sides of said main cover cloth member to segment de of each said side cover cloth member, and then stitching segment gf of each said side cover cloth member to segment gh of the respective side cover cloth member, leaving an opening in the bottom side of the cover.    
   
   
       5 . The sofa cover as claimed in  claim 4  further comprising step d) fastening an elastic band to the border of said opening with stitches.
