Abstract

The present invention relates to processes for controlling arthropods, particularly processes for controlling insects and especially processes for controlling insects which ravage crops, particularly rice crops or market-garden crops; as well as to processes for protecting crops, particularly rice crops or market-garden crops; as well as to processes directed towards improving the yield of the treated crops; as well as to compositions or products which may be used in such processes.

         20 . A method of controlling crop-damaging arthropods, comprising applying to said crop-damaging arthropods, to crop plants, to the seeds or to the other propagation materials of the crop plants, or to the soil in which said crop plants grow or are intended to grow, an arthropodically effective amount of a combination of the insecticidal compound fipronil, which is 5-amino-3-cyano-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4-trifluoromethylsulfinylpyrazole, as compound (A), and an insecticidal compound (B) which is alpha-cypermethrin.
