Abstract
The invention relates to the use of at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block to stabilize dispersions of insoluble organic compounds comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and also to dispersions stabilized with these amphiphilic copolymers and to cosmetic compositions for topical application, in particular antisun compositions, containing them.

(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenedi amine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an oxalanilide which has the formula: in which T 1 , T 1 ′, T 2 and T 2 ′ each independently represent a C 1-8 alkyl radical or a C 1-8 alkoxy radical.
56 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a triazine which has the formula: in which R 1 , R 2 and R 3 each independently represent a phenyl, phenoxy or pyrrolo group that is unsubstituted, or each independently bear one, two or three substituents which are —OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-18 alkoxy, carboxy(C 1-18 alkyl), C 5 -C 8 cycloalkyl, methylbenzylidenecamphor, or —(CH═CR′) n (CO)—OR 4 in which R′ represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a COOR 4 group, R 4 is C 1-18 alkyl or cinnamyl, and n is 0 or 1.
57 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a vinylamide which has the formula: T 3 -(Y) r —C(═O)—C(T 4 )=C(T 5 )—N(T 6 )(T 7 ) (V) in which T 3 is a C 1-18 alkyl radical, or a phenyl group optionally substituted with one, two or three radicals which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OT 8 in which T 8 represents a C 1-18 alkyl group; T 4 , T 5 , T 6 and T 7 each independently represent a C 1-18 alkyl radical or a hydrogen atom; Y represents —NH— or an oxygen atom and r is 0 or 1.
58 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; or wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a cinnamide which has the formula: in which R 10 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 11 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 12 represents a —(CONH) s -phenyl group in which s is 0 or 1 and the phenyl group is optionally substituted with one, two or three groups which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OR 13 in which R 13 is a C 1-18 alkyl.
59 . The process of claim 58 , wherein R 12 represents a phenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl or phenylaminocarbonyl group.
60 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a cinnamide which is a bis(α,β-disubstituted cinnamide) having the formula: in which Ar 1 and Ar 2 , which may be identical or different, each represent a phenyl radical, an aromatic heterocycle, a group containing a fused phenyl nucleus or a group containing a fused aromatic heterocycle, and optionally bears one or more identical or different substituents, B and D, which are other than a hydrogen atom, each independently represent an organic radical, A and C each independently represent an organic radical, and E represents a divalent organic radical, with the exclusion of the compounds for which Ar 1 and Ar 2 both represent a phenyl group bearing a substituent —OR in which R represents a hydrogen atom or an organic radical, A and C both represent a cyano group, B and D both represent a C 1-35 alkyl or alkenyl group, and E represents a divalent organic radical.
61 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a benzazole or benzofuran which has the formula: in which each of the symbols Y independently represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group NR 15 , each of the symbols Z independently represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group, each of the symbols R 14 independently represents an OH group, a halogen atom, a linear or branched C 18 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, or a linear or branched C 18 alkoxy group, each of the numbers m is independently 0, 1 or 2, n represents an integer between 1 and 4 inclusive, p is equal to 0 or 1, each of the numbers q is independently equal to 0 or 1, each of the symbols R 15 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a benzyl group or a linear or branched C 1-8 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, A represents a radical of valency n having one of the formula: in which each of the symbols R 16 independently represents a halogen atom or a linear or branched C, 4 alkyl or alkoxy group, or hydroxyl, R 17 represents a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched C 1-4 alkyl group, c is 0-4, d is 0-3, e is 0 or 1 and f is 0-2.

A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:

A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an acrylonitrile amide, acrylonitrile sulphonamide and acrylonitrile carbamate having the formula: in which X 2 represents a divalent radical of formula —(C=O)—R′ 3 —(C═O)—, —SO 2 —R″ 3 —SO 2 — or —(C═O)—O—R″ 3 —O—(C═O)—, Y represents a radical —(C═O)—R 4 or —SO 2 R 5 , R 2 represents a linear or branched C 1-8 alkyl group, n is 0, 1 or 2, R′ 3 represents a single bond or R″ 3 , R″ 3 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 divalent alkylene radical or a linear or branched C 3-30 divalent alkenylene radical, optionally bearing one or more hydroxyl substituents and optionally containing, in the carbon-based chain, one or more hetero atoms which are oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atoms, R 4 represents a radical —OR 6 or —NHR 6 , R 5 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 alkyl radical or a phenyl nucleus that optionally is substituted with C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy radicals, R 6 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 alkyl or C 3-30 alkenyl radical, optionally bearing one or more hydroxyl substituents and optionally containing, in the carbon-based chain, one or more hetero atoms which are oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atoms.
64 . A process for stabilizing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, and which is in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, comprising adding to the dispersion at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a phenylenebis(benzoxazinone) which has the formula: in which R represents a divalent aromatic residue having one of the formula (e) to (h) below: in which: each of the symbols R 4 independently represents an OH group, a halogen atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkoxy group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-5 alkoxycarbonyl group, or a linear or branched C 1-6 alkylsulphonamide group optionally containing a silicon atom or an amino acid function, p represents an integer between 0 and 4 inclusive, q represents 0 or 1.

A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, wherein the insoluble inorganic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an oxalanilide which has the formula: in which T 1 , T 1 ′, T 2 and T 2 ′ each independently represent a C 1-8 alkyl radical or a C 1-8 alkoxy radical.

A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a triazine which has the formula: in which R 1 , R 2 and R 3 each independently represent a phenyl, phenoxy or pyrrolo group that is unsubstituted, or each independently bear one, two or three substituents which are —OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-18 alkoxy, carboxy(C 1-18 alkyl), C 5-8 cycloalkyl, methylbenzylidenecamphor, or —(CH═CR′) n (CO)—OR 4 in which R′ represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a COOR 4 group, R 4 is C 1-8 alkyl or cinnamyl, and n is 0 or 1.
67 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a vinylamide which has the formula: T 3 -(Y) r —C(═O)—C(T 4 )=C(T 5 )-N(T 6 )(T 7 ) (V) in which T 3 is a C 1-18 alkyl radical, or a phenyl group optionally substituted with one, two or three radicals which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OT 8 in which T 8 represents a C 1-18 alkyl group; T 4 , T 5 , T 6 and T 7 each independently represent a C 1-18 alkyl radical or a hydrogen atom; Y represents —NH— or an oxygen atom and r is 0 or 1.
68 . The process of claim 67 , in which T 3 is a C 1-5 alkyl radical.
69 . The process of claim 67 , in which T 4 , T 5 , T 6 and T 7 each independently represent a C 1-5 alkyl radical.
70 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a cinnamide which has the formula: in which R 10 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 11 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 12 represents a —(CONH) s -phenyl group in which s is 0 or 1 and the phenyl group is optionally substituted with one, two or three groups which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OR 13 in which R 13 is a C 1-18 alkyl.
71 . The process of claim 70 , wherein R 12 represents a phenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl or phenylaminocarbonyl group.
72 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: win which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a cinnamide which is a bis(α,β-disubstituted cinnamide) having the formula: in which Ar 1 and Ar 2 , which may be identical or different, each represent a phenyl radical, an aromatic heterocycle, a group containing a fused phenyl nucleus or a group containing a fused aromatic heterocycle, and optionally bears one or more identical or different substituents, B and D, which are other than a hydrogen atom, each independently represent an organic radical, A and C each independently represent an organic radical, and E represents a divalent organic radical, with the exclusion of the compounds for which Ar 1 and Ar 2 both represent a phenyl group bearing a substituent —OR in which R represents a hydrogen atom or an organic radical, A and C both represent a cyano group, B and D both represent a C 1-35 alkyl or alkenyl group, and E represents a divalent organic radical.
73 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a benzazole or benzofuran which has the formula: in which each of the symbols Y independently represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group NR 15 , each of the symbols Z independently represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group, each of the symbols R 14 independently represents an OH group, a halogen atom, a linear or branched C 1-8 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, or a linear or branched C 1-8 alkoxy group, each of the numbers m is independently 0, 1 or 2, n represents an integer between 1 and 4 inclusive, p is equal to 0 or 1, each of the numbers q is independently equal to 0 or 1, each of the symbols R 15 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a benzyl group or a linear or branched C 1-8 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, A represents a radical of valency n having one of the formula: in which each of the symbols R 16 independently represents a halogen atom or a linear or branched C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy group, or hydroxyl, R 17 represents a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched C 1-4 alkyl group, c is 0-4, d is 0-3, e is 0 or 1 and f is 0-2.
74 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) c H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an arylvinylene ketone which has the formula: in which: n=1 or 2, A, in formula (XI) when n=1 or in formula (XII), is an aryl radical having one of formula (a) to (d) below, or in formula (XI) when n=2, is a radical having one of formula (e) to (h) below: in which: each of the symbols R 4 independently represents an OH group, a halogen atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkoxy group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-5 alkoxycarbonyl group, or a linear or branched C 1-6 alkylsulphonamide group optionally containing a silicon atom or an amino acid function, p represents an integer between 0 and 4 inclusive, q represents 0 or 1, R 1 represents hydrogen or an OH group, R 2 represents hydrogen, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, a cyano group, a C 1-6 alkylsulphonyl group or a phenylsulphonyl group, R 3 represents a linear or branched C 1-6 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom or a phenyl group that can form a bicycle and optionally substituted with one or two radicals R 4 , or R 2 and R 3 together form a monocyclic, bicyclic or tricyclic C 2-10 hydrocarbon-based residue, optionally interrupted with one or more nitrogen, sulphur and oxygen atoms and optionally containing another carbonyl, and optionally substituted with a linear or branched C 1 -C 8 alkylsulphonamide group, optionally containing a silicon atom or an amino acid function; on condition that when n=1, R 2 and R 3 do not form a camphor nucleus.

A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an acrylonitrile amide, acrylonitrile sulphonamide and acrylonitrile carbamate which have the formula: in which X 2 represents a divalent radical of formula —(C═O)—R′ 3 —(C═O)—, —SO 2 —R″ 3 —SO 2 — or —(C═O)—O—R″ 3 —O—(C═O)—, Y represents a radical —(C═O)—R 4 or —SO 2 R 5 , R 2 represents a linear or branched C 1-8 alkyl group, n is 0, 1 or 2, R′ 3 represents a single bond or R″ 3 , R″ 3 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 divalent alkylene radical or a linear or branched C 3-30 divalent alkenylene radical, optionally bearing one or more hydroxyl substituents and optionally containing, in the carbon-based chain, one or more hetero atoms which are oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atoms, R 4 represents a radical —OR or —N 6 , R 5 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 alkyl radical or a phenyl nucleus that optionally is substituted with C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy radicals, R 6 represents a linear or branched C 1-30 alkyl or C 3-30 alkenyl radical, optionally bearing one or more hydroxyl substituents and optionally containing, in the carbon-based chain, one or more hetero atoms which are oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atoms.
76 . A process for preparing a dispersion of an insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that absorbs UV radiation, comprising subjecting particles of the organic compound, suspended in a liquid medium, to a step of particle size reduction until a mean particle size of between 10 nm and 5 μm is obtained, and adding, before, during or after the step of particle size reduction, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, the amphiphilic copolymer being a nonionic polymer which is:
(1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of the formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide of the formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine of the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of the formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, a C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate; wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is a phenylenebis(benzoxazinone) which has the formula: in which R represents a divalent aromatic residue having one of the formula (e) to (h) below: in which: each of the symbols R 4 independently represents an OH group, a halogen atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkyl group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-6 alkoxy group optionally containing a silicon atom, a linear or branched C 1-5 alkoxycarbonyl group, or a linear or branched C 1-6 alkylsulphonamide group optionally containing a silicon atom or an amino acid function, p represents an integer between 0 and 4 inclusive, q represents 0 or 1.
77 . The process of claim 65 , 66 , 67 , 68 , 69 , 70 , 71 , 72 , 73 , 74 , 75 or 76 , wherein the particles of insoluble organic compound represent from 5% to 70% by weight of the dispersion.
78 . The process of claim 65 , 66 , 67 , 68 , 69 , 70 , 71 , 72 , 73 , 74 , 75 or 76 , wherein the amphiphilic copolymer is added in a proportion of from 1 to 10 mg per m of surface area of particles of insoluble organic compound.
79 . A dispersion comprising, in a liquid medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) as dispersant, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, wherein the dispersant is: (1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) 2 H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide of formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine corresponding to the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is an oxalanilide which has the formula: in which T 1 , T 1 ′, T 2 and T 2 ′ each independently represent a C 1 - 8 alkyl radical or a C 1-8 radical.
80 . A dispersion comprising, in a liquid medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) as dispersant, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, wherein the dispersant is: (1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide of formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine corresponding to the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is triazine having the formula: in which R 1 , R 2 and R 3 each independently represent a phenyl, phenoxy or pyrrolo group that is unsubstituted, or each independently bear one, two or three substituents which are —OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-18 alkoxy, carboxy(C 1-18 alkyl), C 5 -C 8 cycloalkyl, methylbenzylidenecamphor, or —(CH═CR′) n (CO)—OR 4 in which R′ represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a COOR 4 group, R 4 is C 1-18 alkyl or cinnamyl, and n is 0 or 1.

(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) as dispersant, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, wherein the dispersant is: (1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide of formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine corresponding to the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is vinylamide having the formula: T 3 -(Y) r —C(═O)—C(T 4 )=C(T 5 )-N(T 6 )(T7) (V) in which T 3 is a C 1-18 alkyl radical, or a phenyl group optionally substituted with one, two or three radicals which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OT 8 in which T 8 represents a C 1-18 alkyl group; T 4 , T 5 , T 6 and T 7 each independently represent a C 1-18 alkyl radical or a hydrogen atom; Y represents —NH— or an oxygen atom and r is 0 or 1.
82 . A dispersion comprising, in a liquid medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) as dispersant, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, wherein the dispersant is: (1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide of formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine corresponding to the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is cinnamide having the formula: in which R 10 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 11 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, R 12 represents a —(CONH) s -phenyl group in which s is 0 or 1 and the phenyl group may be optionally substituted with one, two or three groups which are OH, C 1-18 alkyl, C 1-8 alkoxy or —C(═O)—OR 13 in which R 13 is a C 1-18 alkyl.
83 . The dispersion of claim 82 , wherein R 12 represents a phenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl or phenylaminocarbonyl group.
84 . A dispersion comprising, in a liquid medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) as dispersant, at least one amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, wherein the dispersant is: (1) a polyalkoxylated aliphatic alcohol of formula: H 2n+1 C n (CH 2 CH 2 O) x (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) y (CH(CH 3 )CH 2 O) z H in which n is an integer between 5 and 20, x is an integer between 2 and 20, y is an integer between 2 and 20, the sum of y+z being an integer between 2 and 20; (2) a triblock copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide of formula: HO(CH 2 CH 2 O) a (CH 2 CH(CH 3 )O) b (CH 2 CH 2 O) c H in which a represents an integer between 2 and 150, b represents an integer between 10 and 80 and c represents an integer between 2 and 150; (3) a product of condensation of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with ethylenediamine corresponding to the formula: (4) a block copolymer of styrene and ethylene oxide; (5) a polyethoxylated polyolefin succinate which is a polyethoxylated polyisobutylene succinate of formula: in which PIB represents a polyisobutylene chain, n represents an integer between 2 and 15, and m represents an integer between 2 and 15; or (6) a block terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, C 10-30 alkyl (meth)acrylate and polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate wherein the insoluble organic compound is an insoluble UV screening agent which is cinnamide which is a bis(α,β-disubstituted cinnamide) having the formula: in which Ar 1 and Ar 2 , which may be identical or different, each represent a phenyl radical, an aromatic heterocycle, a group containing a fused phenyl nucleus or a group containing a fused aromatic heterocycle, and optionally bears one or more identical or different substituents, B and D, which are other than a hydrogen atom, each independently represent an organic radical, A and C each independently represent an organic radical, and E represents a divalent organic radical, with the exclusion of the compounds for which Ar 1 and Ar 2 both represent a phenyl group bearing a substituent —OR in which R represents a hydrogen atom or an organic radical, A and C both represent a cyano group, B and D both represent a C 1-35 alkyl or alkenyl group, and E represents a divalent organic radical.
85 . A dispersion comprising, in a liquid medium,

89 . The dispersion of claim 56 , 66 or 80 , wherein the mean particle size of the insoluble organic compound is between 10 nm and 2 μm.
90 . A cosmetic composition for topical use, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 56 , 66 or 80 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
91 . The composition of claim 90 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
92 . The composition of claim 90 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.
93 . The cosmetic composition of claim 92 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5, 4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benz-imidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.
94 . The cosmetic composition of claim 90 , which further contains one or more mineral pigments.
95 . The cosmetic composition of claim 94 , wherein the mineral pigments are nanopigments of metal oxides, which are optionally coated, or mixtures thereof.
96 . The cosmetic composition of claim 95 , wherein the metal oxides are titanium oxide, iron oxide, zinc oxide, zirconium oxide or cerium oxide.
97 . The cosmetic composition of claim 95 , wherein the nanopigments have a mean particle size of between 5 run and 100 nm.
98 . The cosmetic composition of claim 90 , which also contains at least one agent for artificially tanning and/or browning the skin.
99 . The cosmetic composition of claim 90 , which also contains one or more formulation adjuvants which are a fatty substance, a physiologically acceptable organic solvent, a thickener, an antioxidant, an opacifier, a stabilizer, an antifoam, a fragrance, a preserving agent, a filler, a sequestering agent, a propellant, a pH modifier and a colorant, or mixtures thereof.
100 . The cosmetic composition of claim 90 , which also contains one or more cosmetic active principles which are a vitamin, a softener, a hydroxy acid, a moisturizer, an emollient, a free-radical scavenger, a substance P antagonist, an anti-inflammatory agent, or mixtures thereof.
101 . The cosmetic composition of claim 90 , which is a cosmetic composition for protecting the skin or the hair, an antisun composition or a makeup product.
102 . The dispersion of claim 55 , 65 or 79 , wherein the mean particle size of the insoluble organic compound is between 10 nm and 2 μm.
103 . A cosmetic composition for topical use, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 55 , 65 or 79 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
104 . The composition of claim 103 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
105 . The composition of claim 103 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.
106 . The cosmetic composition of claim 105 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5, 4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benz-imidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.
107 . The cosmetic composition of claim 103 , which further contains one or more mineral pigments.
108 . The cosmetic composition of claim 107 , wherein the mineral pigments are nanopigments of metal oxides, which are optionally coated, or mixtures thereof.
109 . The dispersion of claim 57 , 67 or 81 , wherein the mean particle size of the insoluble organic compound is between 10 nm and 2 μm.
110 . A cosmetic composition for topical use, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 57 , 67 or 81 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
111 . The composition of claim 110 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
112 . The composition of claim 110 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.
113 . The cosmetic composition of claim 112 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5,4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benz-imidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.
114 . The cosmetic composition of claim 110 , which further contains one or more mineral pigments.
115 . The cosmetic composition of claim 114 , wherein the mineral pigments are nanopigments of metal oxides, which are optionally coated, or mixtures thereof.
116 . The dispersion of claim 58 , 70 or 82 , wherein the mean particle size of the insoluble organic compound is between 10 nm and 2 μm.
117 . A cosmetic composition for topical use, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 58 , 70 or 82 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
118 . The composition of claim 117 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
119 . The composition of claim 117 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.
120 . The cosmetic composition of claim 119 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5,4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benzimidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.
121 . The cosmetic composition of claim 117 , which further contains one or more mineral pigments.

124 . A cosmetic composition for topical use, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium,
(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 60 , 72 or 84 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
125 . The composition of claim 124 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
126 . The composition of claim 124 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.

The cosmetic composition of claim 126 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5,4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benzimidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.
128 . The cosmetic composition of claim 124 , which further contains one or more mineral pigments.
129 . The cosmetic composition of claim 128 , wherein the mineral pigments are nanopigments of metal oxides, which are optionally coated, or mixtures thereof.
130 . The dispersion of claim 61 , 73 or 85 , wherein the mean particle size of the insoluble organic compound is between 10 nm and 2 μm.

(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 61 , 73 or 85 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
132 . The composition of claim 131 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
133 . The composition of claim 131 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.

The cosmetic composition of claim 133 , wherein the soluble organic sunscreens are ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, phenylbenzimidazole sulphonic acid, terephthalylidene dicamphor sulphonic acid, benzophenone-3, benzophenone-4, benzophenone-5, 4-methylbenzylidenecamphor, benzimidazilate, anisotriazine, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, drometrizole trisiloxane, or mixtures thereof.

140 . The composition of claim 138 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.

(a) at least one insoluble organic compound comprising at least one group that screens out UV radiation, in the form of particles with a mean size of between 10 nm and 5 μm, and (b) at least one dispersant chosen from amphiphilic copolymers comprising at least one hydrophilic block and at least one hydrophobic block, prepared by dilution of a dispersion according to claim 63 , 75 or 87 , in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
146 . The composition of claim 145 , which contains from 0.1% to 15% by weight of particles of the insoluble organic compound.
147 . The composition of claim 145 , which also contains one or more water-soluble or liposoluble organic sunscreens that are active in the UV-A and/or UV-B range.
