Abstract

A double cylinder system is disclosed, comprising at least one controller being adapted to transmit hydraulic control signals; at least one slave being in fluid communication with the controller and being configured to respond to the hydraulic control signals transmitted by the controller; and at least one control line providing hydraulic communication between the controller and the slave. Also disclosed is a surgical device, comprising at least one controller located at a proximal end of the device, the controller being adapted to transmit hydraulic control signals; at least one manipulator, the manipulator being configured to be controlled by a human hand and to actuate the controller; at least one slave located at a distal end of the device, the slave being in fluid communication with the controller and being configured to respond to the hydraulic control signals transmitted by the controller; and at least one control line providing hydraulic communication between the controller and the slave.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 16 . (canceled)

17 . A tissue restraint module comprising at least one remotely manipulatable tyne capable of restraining a tissue, wherein said tyne is placed against said tissue, thereby reducing the local motion of said tissue and providing a stable area on which a surgical procedure is to be performed.

18 . The tissue restraint module of claim 17 , wherein said at least one remotely manipulatable tyne is configured to pivot about the distal end of said module.

19 . The tissue restraint module of claim 17 , further comprising a bend module.

20 . The tissue restraint module of claim 17 , comprising a first tyne and a second tyne.

21 . The tissue restraint module of claim 20 , wherein said first tyne and said second tyne are adapted to be separable.

22 . The tissue restraint module of claim 21 , wherein said first tyne is stationary and said second tyne slides laterally away from said first tyne.

23 . The tissue restraint module of claim 21 , wherein both of said first tyne and said second tyne move away from the center.

24 . The tissue restraint module of claim 21 , wherein said first tyne and said second tyne are bent inward.

25 . The tissue restraint module of claim 24 , wherein a distal end of said first tyne and a distal end of said second tyne are parallel to each other when said first and said second tynes are in an extended position.

26 . The tissue restraint module of claim 21 , wherein said first tyne and said second tyne form a “V” shaped opening said first and said second tynes are in an extended position.
