Abstract
In a motor compressor, a housing forms a fitting surface at an outer peripheral surface of the housing and a plurality of insertion holes extending through the housing at the fitting surface. A compression mechanism is accommodated in the housing. An electric motor is accommodated in the housing for driving the compression mechanism. A plurality of terminal pins transmits electric current to the electric motor. A terminal substrate is fastened to the housing by a bolt so as to be fixed to the fitting surface and forms a plurality of holes. The terminal pin is inserted into each hole of the terminal substrate while being fixedly supported on the terminal substrate so as to be insulative and airtight. The insertion holes correspond to the holes. The gasket is interposed between the fitting surface and the terminal substrate, while each terminal pin is inserted into the corresponding insertion holes.

a housing forming a fitting surface at an outer peripheral surface of the housing and a plurality of insertion holes extending through the housing at the fitting surface; a compression mechanism accommodated in the housing; an electric motor accommodated in the housing for driving the compression mechanism; a plurality of terminal pins transmitting electric current to the electric motor; a terminal substrate fastened to the housing by a bolt so as to be fixed to the fitting surface, the terminal substrate forming a plurality of holes, the terminal pin being inserted into each hole of the terminal substrate while being fixedly supported on the terminal substrate so as to be insulative and airtight, the insertion holes of the fitting surface correspond to the holes; and a gasket interposed between the fitting surface and the terminal substrate, while each terminal pin is inserted into the corresponding insertion holes of the fitting surface.
2 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the gasket independently forms a plurality of holes which correspond with the terminal pins.
3 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the housing has a substantially cylindrical shape, the terminal substrate being fastened to the housing by the bolts at each end thereof in a circumferential direction of the housing.
4 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the housing is made of aluminum alloy.
5 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the motor compressor employs carbon dioxide as refrigerant.
6 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein a plurality of the terminal pins is arranged at substantially the same interval on a substantially common circle in the terminal substrate.
7 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , further comprising:
an insulating member filling a gap between the terminal pins and the holes so as to be insulative against the terminal substrate and to seal the hole airtightly.
8 . The motor compressor according to claim 7 , wherein the insulating member is made of glass.
9 . The motor compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the terminal substrate has a rectangular shape, a longitudinal direction of the rectangular shape extending along a circumferential direction of the housing.Cited by (0)
