Abstract

Fiber for reinforcing rubber products, which comprises fiber coated with a coating film formed by a treating agent, wherein the treating agent comprises a rubber latex containing at least a vinylpyridine/styrene/butadiene terpolymer, a latex of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer, and a water-soluble condensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde.

Fiber for reinforcing rubber products, which comprises fiber coated with a coating film formed by a treating agent, wherein the treating agent comprises a rubber latex containing at least a vinylpyridine/styrene/butadiene terpolymer, a latex of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer, and a water-soluble condensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde.  
     
     
         2 . The fiber for reinforcing rubber products according to  claim 1 , wherein the latex of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer is a latex of the terpolymer wherein, when the total of the copolymerized ratios of the respective comonomers is 100 mass %, acrylonitrile is from 20 to 40 mass %, butadiene is from 25 to 50 mass %, and styrene is from 25 to 50 mass %.

The fiber for reinforcing rubber products according to  claim 1 , wherein the treating agent comprises, as calculated as solid contents, 100 parts by mass of the rubber latex containing at least a vinylpyridine/styrene/butadiene terpolymer, from 15 to 70 parts by mass of the latex of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer, and from 2 to 25 parts by mass of the water-soluble condensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde.

The fiber for reinforcing rubber products according to  claim 2 , wherein the treating agent comprises, as calculated as solid contents, 100 parts by mass of the rubber latex containing at least a vinylpyridine/styrene/butadiene terpolymer, from 15 to 70 parts by mass of the latex of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer, and from 2 to 25 parts by mass of the water-soluble condensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde.
