Organic electroluminescence device emitting white light
Abstract
An organic electroluminescence device emitting white light which emits white light and exhibits properties sufficient for practical applications, i.e., a high efficiency of light emission and a long life, is provided. The organic electroluminescence device emitting white light comprises a pair of electrodes and a layer of a light emitting medium disposed between the pair of electrodes, wherein the layer of a light emitting medium comprises a light emitting material emitting blue light and a fluorescent compound having at least one structure selected from a fluoranthene skeleton structure, a pentacene skeleton structure and a perylene skeleton structure.

An organic electroluminescence device which comprises a pair of electrodes and a layer of a light emitting medium disposed between the pair of electrodes, wherein at least one layer in the layer of the light emitting medium comprises a light emitting material emitting blue light and a fluorescent dopant emitting blue light.
31 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 30 , wherein the light emitting material emitting blue light is an anthracene derivative and the fluorescent dopant emitting blue light is a compound having a condensed aromatic ring.
32 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 30 , wherein the light emitting material emitting blue light is an aromatic amine and the fluorescent dopant emitting blue light is a styrylamine.
33 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 30 , wherein the light emitting material emitting blue light is an aromatic amine and the fluorescent dopant emitting blue light is a styryl compound substituted with an amine.
34 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 30 , wherein the light emitting material emitting blue light is an aromatic amine and the fluorescent dopant emitting blue light is a compound having a condensed aromatic ring.
35 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 31 , wherein the anthracene derivative is a compound having a phenylanthracene skeleton structure.
36 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 32 , wherein the aromatic amine is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted with an aromatic group.
37 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 33 , wherein the aromatic amine is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted with an aromatic group.
38 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 34 , wherein the aromatic amine is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted with an aromatic group.
39 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 32 , wherein the aromatic amino is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted an aromatic group and having at least one alkenyl group.
40 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 33 , wherein the aromatic amino is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted an aromatic group and having at least one alkenyl group.
41 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 34 , wherein the aromatic amino is a compound having 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms which are substituted an aromatic group and having at least one alkenyl group.
42 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 32 , wherein the styrylamine is a compound represented by general formula [viii]
wherein each of Ar 1″ , Ar 2″ and Ar 3″ independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 40 carbon atoms, at least one of the groups represented by Ar 1″ to Ar 3″ has a styryl group and p represents an integer of 1 to 3.
43 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 33 , wherein the styryl compound substituted with an amine is a compound represented by general formula [ix]
wherein each of Ar 4″ and Ar 5″ independently represents an arylene group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, E 1 and E 2 each independently represent an aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkyl group, hydrogen atom or cyano group, q, represents an integer of 1 to 3, and at least one of U and V represents a substituent having an amino group,
44 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 31 , wherein the compound having a condensed aromatic ring is a compound represented by general formula [x]
wherein A represents an alkyl group or an alkoxy group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted arylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms; B represents a condensed aromatic ring group having 10 to 40 carbon atoms; and r represents an integer of 1 to 4.
45 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 34 , wherein the compound having a condensed aromatic ring is a compound represented by general formula [x]
wherein A represents an alkyl group or an alkoxy group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted arylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms; B represents a condensed aromatic ring group having 10 to 40 carbon atoms; and r represents an integer of 1 to 4.
46 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 44 , wherein A is the substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
47 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 44 , wherein A is the substituted or unsubstituted arylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
48 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 44 , wherein A is the substituted or unsubstituted alkylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
49 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 45 , wherein A is the substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
50 . An organic electroluminescence device according to claim 45 , wherein A is the substituted or unsubstituted arylamino group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
