Merchandising system

Abstract

A merchandising system for articles comprising a first divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall and a second divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall. The first divider is coupled to the second divider to form a compartment for the articles between the sidewall of the first compartment and the sidewall of the second compartment. The compartment has a front and a back. A support for the articles is provided within the compartment between the sidewall of the first divider and the sidewall of the second divider from adjacent the front of the compartment to adjacent the back of the compartment by the member on the first divider and the member on the second divider.

1 . A merchandising system for articles comprising: 
 a first divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall;    a second divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall;    wherein the first divider is coupled to the second divider to form a compartment for the articles between the sidewall of the first compartment and the sidewall of the second compartment;    wherein the compartment has a front and a back;    wherein a support for the articles is provided within the compartment between the sidewall of the first divider and the sidewall of the second divider from adjacent the front of the compartment to adjacent the back of the compartment by the member on the first divider and the member on the second divider; and    wherein the articles are supported at a first height at the back of the compartment and at a second height less than the first height at the front of the compartment;    so that the movement of the articles from the back of the compartment to the front of the compartment is at least partially facilitated.    
   
   
       2 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  wherein each member comprises a track.  
   
   
       3 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  wherein each member provides a guide.  
   
   
       4 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  further comprising an interface for coupling the first divider to the second divider.  
   
   
       5 . The merchandising system of  claim 4  wherein the first and second dividers comprise a portion of the interface.  
   
   
       6 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  wherein the first divider comprises a generally vertical wall and the second divider comprises a generally vertical wall, and wherein the first divider and the second divider each have a generally horizontal portion for coupling together.  
   
   
       7 . The merchandising system of  claim 6  further comprising a connector configured to couple the first divider to the second divider proximate an upper edge of each divider.  
   
   
       8 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  wherein the interface comprises a protrusion on the horizontal portion of the first divider.  
   
   
       9 . The merchandising system of  claim 1  wherein the interface comprises an aperture on the horizontal portion of the second divider.  
   
   
       10 . A merchandising system for at least one set of articles including a first set of articles having a first size and a second set of articles having a second size smaller than the first size comprising: 
 a first member having a first interface;    a second member having a second interface; and    a third member having a first set of connectors comprising a first connector and a second connector;    wherein the first connector releasably couples to one of the first interface and the second interface and wherein the second connector releasably couples to one of the first interface and the second interface;    wherein a compartment of a first size is provided when the first connector is coupled to a first portion of the first interface and the second connector is coupled to a third portion of the second interface;    wherein a compartment of a second size is provided when the first connector is coupled to a second portion of the first interface and the second connector is coupled to the third portion of the second interface; and    wherein the first member and the second member provide support surfaces for the articles.    
   
   
       11 . The merchandising system of  claim 10  wherein the support surfaces comprise guides.  
   
   
       12 . The merchandising system of  claim 10  wherein the first member comprises a first divider and the second member comprises a second divider.  
   
   
       13 . The merchandising system of  claim 10  wherein the first connector and the second connector comprise at least two protrusions.  
   
   
       14 . The merchandising system of  claim 10  wherein the third member comprises a track having ribs.  
   
   
       15 . The merchandising system of  claim 10  wherein the support surface is configured to provide for slidable movement stacked levels of the articles along the support surface.  
   
   
       16 . A merchandising system for articles comprising: 
 a first track comprising a horizontal surface having a first protrusion and a second protrusion extending from the horizontal surface;    a second track comprising a vertical panel and a horizontal surface having a first interface and a second interface; and    a third track comprising a vertical panel and a horizontal surface having a third interface and a fourth interface;    wherein the first protrusion and the second protrusion of the first track releasably couple to the first interface and the second interface of the second track; and    wherein the second and third tracks comprise guides for positioning the articles in the compartment and for guiding the articles between a front and a rear of the system.    
   
   
       17 . The merchandising system of  claim 16  wherein the protrusions are integrally formed with the first track.  
   
   
       18 . The merchandising system of  claim 16  wherein the protrusions fit within openings of the interfaces.  
   
   
       19 . The merchandising system of  claim 16  wherein the tracks further comprise a product support surface having one or more friction reducing ribs.  
   
   
       20 . The merchandising system of  claim 16  further comprising members configured to at least partially restrain movement of the articles as the articles are removed from the compartment.
