Abstract

Compositions containing core-shell particles having a core polytetrafluoroethylene-based polymers (PTFE) and shell styrene-based polymers (PS), wherein the particles contain an amount by weight of PTFE from 3 to 50%, preferably from 5 to 30% by weight, wherein the core PTFE particles have an average diameter from 5 to 100 nm, preferably from 10 to 70 nm, the core-shell particles having an average diameter from 10 to 170 nm, preferably from 20 to 100 nm.

Compositions containing core-shell particles having a core polytetrafluoroethylene-based polymers (PTFE) and shell styrene-based polymers (PS), wherein the particles contain an amount by weight of PTFE from 3 to 50% by weight, wherein the PTFE core particles have an average diameter from 5 to 100 nm, the core-shell particles having an average diameter from 10 to 170 nm.  
     
     
         2 . Compositions according to  claim 1 , wherein the polytetrafluoroethylene-based polymers (PTFE) are homopolymers of tetraflouroethylene or copolymers of TFE with one or more monomers both of hydrogenated and fluorinated type, containing at least one ethylene type unsaturation, said comonomers in amount from 0 up to 3% by moles with respect to the total moles of the monomers.  
     
     
         3 . Compositions according to  claim 2 , wherein the hydrogenated monomers are ethylene, propylene, acrylic monomers.  
     
     
         4 . Compositions according to  claim 2 , wherein the fluorinated monomers are the following: 
 C 3 -C 8  perfluoroolefins;    C 2 -C 8  hydrogenated fluoroolefins;    CH 2 ═CH—R f , wherein R f  is a C 1 -C 6  perfluroalkyl;    C 2 -C 8  chloro- and/or bromo- and/or iodo-fluoroole-fins;    CF 2 ═CFOR f  (per)flouroalkylvinylethers (PAVE), wherein R f  is a C 1 -C 6  (per)flouroalkyl;    CF 2 —CFOX (per)flouro-oxyalkylvinylethers, wherein X is: a C 1 -C 12  alkyl, or a C 1 -C 12  oxyalkyl, or a C 1 -C 12  (per)flouro-oxyalkyl having one or more ether groups; and    fluorodioxoles.    
     
     
         5 . Compositions according to  claim 2 , wherein the monomers are fluorinated.  
     
     
         6 . Compositions according to  claim 1 , wherein the styrene-based polymers (PS) are homopolymers of styrene, or styrene/acrylonitrile (SAN) polymers, styrene elastomers (SBR), acrylo/butadiene/styrene (ABS) polymers, methacryl/butadiene/styrene (MBS) polymers.

         14 . Compositions according to  claim 1 , wherein the particles contain an amount by weight of PTFE from 5 to 30% by weight.  
     
     
         15 . Compositions according to  claim 1 , wherein the PTFE core particles have an average diameter from 10 to 70 nm.  
     
     
         16 . Compositions according to  claim 1 , wherein the core-shell particles having an average diameter from 20 to 100 nm.  
     
     
         17 . Compositions according to  claim 2 , wherein said comonomers are in an amount from 0.01 to 1% by moles with respect to the total moles of the monomers.  
     
     
         18 . Compositions according to  claim 3 , wherein the hydrogenated monomers are methylmethacrylate, (meth)acrylic acid, butylacrylate, hydroxyethylhexylacrylate or styrene monomers.  
     
     
         19 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein the C 3 -C 8  perfluoroolefins are hexafluoropropene (HFP).  
     
     
         20 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein the C 2 -C 8  hydrogenated fluoroolefins are vinyl fluoride (VF), vinylidene fluoride (VDF), trifluoroethylene, hexafluoroisobutene or perfluoroalkylethylene.  
     
     
         21 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein the C 2 -C 8  chlorofluoroolefins are chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE).  
     
     
         22 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein the R f  of CF 2 ═CFOR f  (per)flouroalkylvinylethers (PAVE) is CF 3 , C 2 F 5  or C 3 F 7 .  
     
     
         23 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein X is perfluoro-2-propoxypropyl.  
     
     
         24 . Compositions according to  claim 4 , wherein the fluorodioxoles are perfluorodioxoles.
