Abstract

A molding tile apparatus is mounted onto abutting wall surfaces forming either an inside corner or an outside corner. A corner turning portion has a horizontal, lateral extent for covering the wall abutment vicinity in the corner, and a horizontally oriented, linearly extensive, leg portion integral or separate from the corner turning portion. An interface between the leg portion and the corner turning portion is defined by a thickness differential. The corner portion may receive a decorative insert.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A molding tile apparatus for mounting onto abutting wall surfaces having a first wall abutment vicinity forming one of an inside corner and an outside corner, the apparatus comprising: a first corner turning portion having a horizontal, lateral extent for covering the first wall abutment vicinity; and a horizontally oriented, linearly extensive, leg portion integral with the first corner turning portion; an interface between the leg portion and the corner turning portion defined by a thickness differential.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the corner-turning portion provides a frontal recess, and further comprising a separable frontal decorative insert adapted for fitting within the frontal recess.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a second corner turning portion integral with the leg portion and spaced apart from the first corner turning portion in opposing juxtaposition, the second corner turning portion having a horizontal, lateral extent, for covering the wall abutment vicinity; an interface between the leg portion and the second corner turning portion defined by a thickness differential.

4 . The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the second corner-turning portion provides a frontal recess, and further comprising a separable frontal decorative insert adapted for fitting within the frontal recess.

5 . A molding tile apparatus for mounting onto abutting wall surfaces having a wall abutment vicinity forming one of an inside corner and an outside corner, the apparatus comprising in combination: a corner turning portion having a horizontal, lateral extent, for covering the wall abutment vicinity; and at least one separate, horizontally oriented, linearly extensive, leg portions abutting the corner turning portion; the interface between each of the leg portions and the corner turning portion defined by a thickness differential.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 wherein the corner-turning portion provides a frontal recess, and further comprising a separable frontal decorative insert adapted for fitting within the frontal recess.
